Dying Light 2 "Remove Profanity"
Hey guys, i love the zombie theme here and story. However, I just don't particularly like swearing. I'd love if there was a way to turn off the profanity in this game. Any one know if this is possible.

I'm not looking for a discussion about morals etc. Just like graphic settings or gun paint/part preferences, clothing etc. Its all a matter of preference. My preference is i don't enjoy profanity. So, i'm simply looking for anyone who knows anything regarding the ability to turn this off or not?

Thanks everyone!

Nope, don't believe so. In many games it is just integrated.

None of us know anything about this game yet. Did the first game have a setting for it? Was there any swearing in it? I cant remember. Maybe an F word here and there.

Imagine being okay with murdering human and zombie characters, but getting offended by language. c:

The game is not even out yet and you're asking about options. Nobody knows if there will be a profanity filter. The first game never had it. It's rated 18+ already, so that potentially includes violence, profanity, sex, use of drugs, smoking, alcohol etc.

This is not an option in most games. It would take a lot of work for a team to go in and remove anything that the politically correct world would label as "profanity". One person might find the F word to be the most offensive thing ever. Another person might not like the word Damn and find that offensive. Where do you draw the line? At what point do you go ok we should just make a game with butterflies, fairies and sparkles in it because someone might be offended?

If profanity bothers you in this day and age you are limited to a much smaller genre of games.

Btw...how does the word ♥♥♥♥ bother you but decapitating a zombie and watching its blood spill all over is ok?

Well, there is that one South Park episode about curse words, so maybe the OP is just playing it safe?

Moderate use of profanity is what make a game a bit more believable.

Does it though? I'm not a fan of profanity IRL, but IRL people can't get through most talks without swearing casually at least once.
