Female character customization?

Just wondering if we've heard anything about players being able to play as a female character. My wife and I play a lot of co-op games together, and last time we both had to be the same guy. Really hoping a bit more customization this time around -- especially since the theme of the game is making choices.

"Snowflake" unironically used by a bunch of people getting their jimmies rustled hard by a request for character customization from a multi-billion dollar entertainment company.

"Male representation" with a straight face despite hundreds of thousands of examples of it, as if men are somehow being persecuted because of a feature request.

"Women don't play muh games" from a bunch of people who have spent an almost hilarious amount of time trying to avoid even conceptual ones.

I don't know if y'all understand how getting so sweaty squats the intersection of funny and sad, but I genuinely didn't think you had the pent up testicular pressure to resurrect an argument exclusively populated by people -- unknowingly? -- making themselves look like they are so threatened by women that a request thread on a Steam forum can make them cry.

On the upside, I haven't laughed in a while! And I've found some pretty cool people to play with. The ones who get you so freaked out you'll spend pages of this thread trying to shut them up for a sentence or two that disagrees with your viewpoint.

He is the one who demanded character costumization so his imaginary wife gets to play as a woman and then claims that we feel threatened by women when he is told that no one cares.

This game had a male tsrget audience, like most games and if he doesn't like it, he can piss off and find a game that suits his demands. We couldnt give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ about a tiny minority of women making demands over representation when they dont even commit or consume the products at all.

I also like costumization, but im not so entitled to demand every game to be designed so i can insert myself in.

Im perfectly fine playing Zelda or Mario as an olive skinned dude, no need to be blond or white just to immerse myself with one character or playing as samus when im not a woman.

This game in particular is not about costumization but experiencing the story of one partocular character.

I do find it odd that people mix having option to play female character is = SJW propaganda. When its SJW propaganda what turn women into toxic things by intent. Where Female character replaces other with hypocritical way and simply murder/insult previous character with bad story telling.

Playing female character is not me wanting to insert my self into game. It´s to make own character. But it´s clear they wont do that because story reasons by looks of it. For sample i personally like play males and females in game. I do like making character my style and that´s my only reason. I do not mind people having access customization set own character but i have problem why you make set system and how do you implement it. For sample i do agree its nice to have access trans characters in sims 4 and cyberpunk 2077. But when you turn entire character creator into political statement where lack access to blond hair and ability make own character in opposite sex "females" is murdered with ugly stick. You failing your intent. Also if recall correctly in mass effect andromeda there was lack of proper white skin tone... Some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason like battletech did not add blond. Again because people are adding politics toward others liberty.

While final note whole ugly stick smacking. I find it weird to do. Even more when devs in game say were making character more manly because... They had own views toward set what sound super awful and stereotypical reasons. Like horizon zero down director say.

What in my mind sounds like you wanted male character and was not allowed. Also whole point breaking nail issue sounds like women cannot open jars. Because they are women. This baffles me. Again they have own rights to make what they like. But when you publicly say this like thing. I can still criticize reasoning toward it.

Again just throwing my own view of issue. Personally i like option to have character creator. But i do love even more non voiced protagonist and faced one. Like master chief simply i do not get noxious by bad acting etc. Like prototype 2 computer logging joke was so cringe i wanted stop playing game.

Agreed, I'm female and I'm completely fine with male protagonists, hell the witcher series and rdr2 are two of my favourite games and they have male protagonists, but if there's room to insert a female option I don't see the harm, OP is not holding the devs at gunpoint, nowhere did I see them say they will boycott if there's not female option, Idk why dude is triggered, it was merely a suggestion.
