Rites of Thaw is an auto battler built from Slavic folklore. Eight armies at one table, one shared pool of creatures: you draft leshy, strzyga and domovoi, place them on a board where position matters, and lead them through a year of real folk festivals. Every festival offers a gift, and every gift costs something: a creature, gold, health or a vow. Night hides your back line. You see your next opponent before you set your board. No timer, no queue.

What happens next: a Steam playtest in November, with sign-ups on this page, and a free demo planned for December.

A word on the art, since people often ask: no AI-generated artwork, music or sound ships with the game or appears on this page. The creatures and the main interface pieces were drawn by human illustrators; the rest is licensed stock art or drawn in code. AI tools helped draft parts of the text and translate it.

We are a small studio, and the festivals in the game follow the real Slavic ritual year. If this sounds like your kind of game, a wishlist helps us more than anything else right now.
