10/10

1st — Thanks

First, I want to thank the devs, Hangeris and Jatuzis, for allowing me to be a part of the development process, even if only in a small way.

I stumbled across this game during its demo phase and fell in love with speedrunning it. I joined the Discord, got to know the community members, and even had some personal conversations with the devs. They’re a great group of guys who deserve all the success coming their way.

I even appear in the credits alongside my wife and all the new friends I’ve made through this game. That’s something I’ll always appreciate.

2nd — Gameplay

Okay, you might have skipped straight to this part!

The gameplay is hard at first, but as you progress, things start to make a lot more sense. For new players, I’d recommend starting with Chill Mode. You’ll get a solid 3–6 hours of fun, challenging, and maybe even stressful gameplay.

If you’re into speedrunning, there’s a huge skill curve to climb. Think something like Rocket League when it comes to car control: rotating, flipping, jumping, and even jump resets. The mechanics are simple, but they leave a lot of room for creativity and experimentation. I love that about this game.

It also makes speedrunning incredibly satisfying. Learning the normal routes, discovering skips, and even pulling off saves feels amazing once you get the hang of it.

3rd — Atmosphere

Anyone born before 2000 is going to love the atmosphere of this game. There’s nostalgia and pop culture references left and right. You probably won’t catch them all, but you can safely assume that if the narrator says something, it’s probably a reference to something!

Speaking of the narrator, he’s HILARIOUS. Most of the time, he’s the highlight of the game. The well-timed audio cues make the world feel more alive, and there’s even a background story unfolding as you climb your way back to Jeff through voicemails.

4th — Summary

In conclusion, I recommend this game for all ages. You can play it with friends, and even if you beat it once and never touch it again, I think it’s worth the experience.

If you’re a speedrunner, I highly recommend it. And if you’re an achievement hunter, the achievements can be challenging, but they’re not impossible. You can easily squeeze 20–50 hours of gameplay out of this game, depending on how quickly your skills improve.

Thanks again to the devs for letting me playtest the game! I’m writing this review before launch, and I think I’m going to be the first!

So, if you’re reading this and debating whether to buy it, BUY IT! You won’t regret it.

Met the narrator in the game.

He tried to gaslight me into believing that I didn't see him super jump.

10/10.
