Good port or should I just emulate this?
I don't mind buying this game again, but I'd like to play it on PC. Can I boot it up and just play hassle free, or does it need all sorts of quality of life fixes and mods to get up and running, if so I might as well do that for free using Dolphin emulator.

I never used any mods for either game and I've 100% both of them with no real issues. If there are any issues for you, they're super minimal, not many people have experienced them, and other discussions have fixes to said issues (De Blob Inked sfx constantly playing), but personally, I'd wait for a sale. Both 1 and 2 usually go on sale for $5 each, which is a steal in my opinion. :)

The pc ports also have some nice qol features like uncapped framerates, which is always an upgrade imo.

It's pretty good unless your pc is crap but other than that its great plus it supports some controllers such as switch joycons

It runs great. No issues whatsoever. I first played this game on Wii and I fell in love with it. Also, it's on sale right now.

I'd definitely buy the game to tell THQ that there is interest in this game (plz THQ make de Blob 3)!!!

The port itself is good. I've had no issues with it, even my toaster Intel i5 laptop runs it at a stable 30 fps with rarely any dips below 25 fps.

It ran nearly perfectly on my SD OLED on Proton 9. Apart from a jittery camera (which only happens over 60fps) and a black screen from skipping things too fast and forcing me to close the game (only happened once, too), it's been a smooth ride

I just disabled AA and completed the game with no issue. I was able to get about 7h outa this game at 60hz on the SD OLED, too
