Sean bothers me more then Daniel so far..

I'm on episode 2 right after calling Lyla's mom on the phone.
And I think it is the acting for me. I think Daniel sounds and act like a regular boy his age. I feel like the person voicing Daniel did a good job, but Sean.. I feel like his acting does not come across as genuine.

Every time he is sad and worried it just feels so fake. I can't really put words on it, but i struggle to feel with the character :/

i think it's a writing issue: the player can make certain choices in the game and throughout the dialogue. so sean will say or do certain things because the player tell him to and then once that sequence is over, sean will say something that's essentially the opposite of the choice the player made... i found it quite jarring and would certainly contribute to the whole thing feeling insincere . or maybe its bad acting idk

I eventually got used to it! And i don't mind it as much now. I'm on episode 4 and it took me some time to enjoy the character of Sean, but now i do.

The first two episodes Sean was always so sad, all the time and i think it was a writing issue mostly. I feel like the game was trying hard to make me feel sad for him, with how he had to escape with his brother on the road, but it did not hit me as it probably wanted to.
His sad, frustrated voice did not grip me for some reason. It just came across as not very genuine for me.

I think episode 3 to the end of episode 3 is what made me love that game.

I can definitely see why especially during episode 4. It made me so mad like why won't you listen to me Daniel?!

I never noticed that Sean's voice acting was bad or anything, I might be biased, because I liked Sean's character since episode 1, and understood why he's always so down in the 1st 2 episodes. As you said, in episode 3 we get to know Sean better, and I feel like that might have helped you conncect with the voice acting more too!

Glad to see others who also enjoy it I think you have a point. It was episode 3 that changed it all and seeing him interacts with the other 'hippies' and just being a teenager helped me connect with his character more then him just being sad.

Tbh i honestly had low expections since i remember when Life Is Strange 2 came it wasn't exactly received so well. I remember when the demo of Life Is Strange 2 came out and you were able to play as Chris it sort of bummed me out when i heard from others he had a very little part included in the actual game ( i was sure he was supposed to be the main character..) so i refrained my buy until now recently.

I was pleasently suprised :)
My first ending now was the one where Sean crossed the border and ended up in Mexico while Daniel grew up with his grandparents. Also i made Sean end up with Finn. I thought they were cute

I can understand why. I tried replaying Life Is Strange last year and it did not hit me as much as it used to.. I might even go so far that i prefer Life Is Strange 2 over 1.
I just want to add i'm a 26 year old woman so the first games are definitely not geared to me lol. I still love Before The Storm so much because Rachel is such a wonderful character for me.

I think this one was good for me because i do love the idea that you sort of shape Daniel throughout the game. Kinda in the same way with Walking Dead how you shape Clementine. Also there was a lot of action here and stuff happening so it kept my interest in the end.
