I suspect they will just call it "Life is Strange: True Colors". I still think the "mainline" LiS games are reserved for DONTNOD to make.
Of course Square Enix may have said " screw it" and just gave the main series to Deck Nine.
Unless the continue ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ uo their games and come crawling back to Square.
They've publicly moved on from the franchise at this point in time. As stated in at least one news article[www.eurogamer.net] that mentions their new Montreal studio:
"It doesn't mean we will not continue working on the Life is Strange franchise in the future but we have also some new exciting ideas we want to explore and that we hope will please all of our Life is Strange community and fans."
With their dubious "theme/message over narrative coherence" mentality, I think it's for the best that they part ways with the franchise with they created.
Too many other projects they are working on. They have like 4 different games in production, just no time for Life is Strange for the next few years.
Also LiS 2 just ended a year ago. They just did one so now they concentrate on other games.
Cant wait to see what they did this time, they said music is a big focus in upcoming game, which is really good, they didnt go wrong with Daughter last time, cant wait.
Oof lol
It has better reviews than Twin Mirror at least, Twin Mirror bombed hard.
As someone who has played it, it wasn't terrible in the grand scheme of things. But if you ask me, it's not the alleged "Life is Strange game in all but name" some are making it out to be. It has similarities of course, but I feel that it was severely lacking in some important aspects that made the first Life is Strange game something very special.
Agreed.
