But as far as the story writing goes, i agree
Then there is the steaming pile of expectoration that is Mass Effect: Andromeda, which had a ridiculously-high budget, and yet had writing that seemed to have been plopped down by a team of "woke" twelve-year-old girls with a thesaurus and a Twitter account, who just happened to like sci-fi. It's not as bad as the haters make it out to be, but neither is it Arthur C. Clarke.
Take Star Wars - that line when she stops the hero from saving the day who was going to heroically crash into the massive weapon about to destroy them all:
"We'll win, not by destroying what we hate - but by saving what we love..."
What? What "woke" p.o.s. got that passed into the final script lol? Wasn't that what he was doing? Saving ppl he cared about?
Anyway...
I know they have to keep it linear to push the story along the path they want - but dont give me the choice to not do the heist - then make me do it anyway....
Bah.....
And I'm not afraid to admit I cried like a baby when I saw Aidens last words to Jodie. That game made me a semi fan of Quantic Dream considering I played a bit of heavy rain which was alright for the amount of time i played for but I didn't get to finish it due to techinal issues. Now I'm just waiting for the release of Detroit.
Also, is Quantic Dream and Dontnod really the only major ones to do choice based games out there? I know there's more but it feels hard to look for other good game like those. It's like I come across a choice based game here and there that looks interesting but then it's tagged horror or something and I'm just looking in the realm of action adventure choice based.

I loved the character of jodie - its a shame they already said they're not going to do a sequel
Also yeah, thank you Quantic Dream for proving we can have multi-ending AND good graphics (usual favorite excuse of devs to refuse multi-endings and multi-paths in choice-based games haha).
Detroit is a bit more political but not on the level of Life is Strange 2. It's still enjoyable and not really pointing fingers at anyone. Most flame wars I've seen about Detroit is about whether or not we'll be able to create sentient IAs one day. Also, the characters are endearing (and so is the child character).
I think it's just epic exclusive, for now at least.
I like the quantic dream games, I would not them above LiS1 or BtS though.

Truth be told, no average french artist should ever dabble in politics, especially international politics or from a non-french speaking country unless they have lived there their whole life.
Let's just say they tried to stay somewhat neutral. Sure you have your heavy-handed references to fleeing slaves, sorta Union-Confederates, Rosa Parks and so on...
(And you get Hilary Trump as a president lol !)
But like I said, nothing like LIS2 obvious... obviousness ! In Detroit, the bad guys are as diverse as the "heroes", there are turncoats on both sides... and people who don't know what the ♥♥♥♥ is going on. Whatever your opinions and/or ethnicity, it leaves you feeling okay enough inside once you reach the end of the game, ifyouknowwhatimean.
