"Play-Icon"/Triangle in upper right corner

Hey, I hope somebody can help me.
Sometimes I see a symbol in the upper right corner of the screen, that looks kinda like a play button or just a triangle. What does that mean? Can I do something with that? I read the ingame "instructions" but it isn't mentioned there. Did I forget something, the game told me in the tutorial?

I am not too certain, but that may be the icon indicating you can skip a previous heard scene/message.

Next time talk to the same person twice, just to check (one you heard all the conversations from already), and try pressing LB/RB on a controller - not sure what the keyboard equivalent is.

It's Seans inventory when he doesn't have his backpack on him. I suppose when you turn your mouse over it, it will show what Sean has in his hands.

I saw this icon today again and I cannot access it for I have no mousecursor to move around on the screen. And the icon appeared not in a dialogue scene. Very strange.

press the select/back button and if it has items on him, it'll show.

Yup that's right. If you press "I" it will show you what's in his hands.
Also to see all key bindings, you can press escape>settings>controls>edit keys
