How do you figure she doesn't?
Same hair color. Same eye color. White girl. Punk rocker clothing. And same mannerisms (middle finger).
Right. But this isn't a random game, and all these people aren't "random" either - this is still their universe, where she most definitely exists and has a place in.
The eye color is also a givaway. This could also be a completely unrelated character, like the male thats in the photo with Sean and Lyla. Who knows.
It was always speculated she had powers. I never touched BtS (especially since it wasn't made by DN, and has a rather large number of inconsistencies) - so I don't know if that idea was ever toyed with there or not.
Also to note - she DID travel without Chloe - like the post card she sent her that you can find in her room in Episode 1 of Season 1.
Rachel was 6 years older than Sean and died at 18 when Sean was 12. This picture is of Sean when he's at a pretty similar age to when we meet him, roughly 16, meaning that Rachel's been dead for 2-3 years.
Almost certainly Lyla with a different hairstyle.
Since when does Lyla have long, dark blonde hair, and green/blue eyes? Oh, and the girl in question happens to be white :3
Max would make a fine cameo if they really have to shoehorn one in.
Really? The girl is pictured with dark brown hair, it's even darker than Sean's hair in the photo that is almost black in game. The hair style doesn't match Rachel's anyway that was shown as neater and always tucked behind her ear so that her blue feather earring was visible. Her pupils are practically dots so I don't think their green-grey colur is very indicative of anything.
And the girl's race isn't as obvious as you claim, could be white, asian or hispanic as she's barely lighter than Sean, who once again is only slightly tanned in game.
And you think it's more likely that a time travelling Rachel popped by Seattle a couple of years after her death for a photo-op with Sean than Lyla had a hair style/colour change or it was some other girl?
Like I said, wishful thinking.
The age difference between Sean and Rachel is only one year less than that of Sean and Daniel for illistrative purposes. Without magic there's no way Rachel at that age was meeting Sean at the age depicted. Despite some fan theories Rachel was never shown to have powers and if she had been able to travel that far into the future she would have known and been able to avoid her death.
Practically any other woman is more likely than Rachel to be in that picture. I'd go so far as to say it's more likely that it's one of his male friends in drag than Rachel.
Tho I'm with you on that one nihilistninja
Eh, it's just getting more than a little silly how people want Rachel back from the dead even after a quick google will bring up articles where the leads of the first game are quoted on Rachel definitely being dead, that it was her body that Max and Chloe found and that the fan theories about Rachel still being alive or having powers were wrong. Such as:
https://www.player.one/life-strange-episode-5-devs-talk-rachel-amber-and-chloes-complex-relationship-tease-482294
The fact is there's only three ways that's Rachel (meaning actual Rachel not evil twin or alternate universe versions) in that photo:
We are definitely not seeing the same picture, that or you keep looking at the OTHER photo, to the right of that one.
The girls hair is the same color. Her eyes are blue/green.
And no, I seriously doubt thats someone in drag :P
The other photo, with the clearly-asian female, with brown eyes and black hair, is Lyla.
And no. Her hair isn't darker than Sean's. Also figure, that "real life" Sean, that we see and play with, has pretty dark hair. In that photo, it is Sean who is smoking with the female - his hair is lighter in the photo than it is in "real life" - equally assuming the females is then lighter still.
In any event, like I mentioned, it could be a character we have yet to see, or someone we may never meet. Why you went above and beyond with your idiotic condesending posts is beyond me.
have a nice day :)
Because her face look totally different. And her hair is a bit darker than Rachel's was. Rachel's hair was more blondish and not brown. And where's the feather? :D
And not to forget the fact, that she is dead and buried for 3 years, when this game takes place and that she lived in California before she moves to Arcadia Bay. How you think she could live another life in Seattle at the same time and was a friend of the 13 year old Sean? It's just not possible^^
It was just an idea/theory. Glad you can have a polite converation at least!
Before episode 4 (and especially 5) came out, reddit (and every where else) was filled with these crazy, LOST-Like theories. It was really fun and cool to be a part of.
This universe DN created, is also very "mysterious," as people have powers such as rewinding time, time traveling and going into Alternate Universes. It isn't very far fetched that Rachel, if she did indeed have powers - didn't also travel to and fro to different times.
Again, likely not her. But interesting nonetheless.
