Best Ending
Wanted to know people's opinion on the best ending and which one they think it is personally I believe it to be the one where Daniel lives with the grandparents (forget their names) and sean lives in Mexico with Cassidy. Initially, I was annoyed but thought about it for a while and I think its the best because Daniel got to live his life and even though the brothers arent together they still keep in contact at least with letters.

How could people not consider Blood brothers as the best ending ?

I strongly disagree with Redemption. The game pushes you to transgress rules because of the many injustices the world has inflicted on the two brothers, and yet some people accept to surrender at the end, to abide by an unfair justice system they tried to fight since their father died.
What is the meaning of "Redemption" when you've done nothing more than escaping an unfair system ?

I (unfortunately) had parting way, I strongly focused on increasing brotherhood with Daniel because at the end, only family matters, but I thought that whether Daniel is morally low or high, we would end up together if we go to Mexico but I was wrong.

Maybe there is no good or bad endings just morally gray ones...

I agree. The situation Sean and Daniel find themselves in is unjust. The only reason - the *only* reason - to choose surrender is to protect Daniel. You could make an argument about protecting the lives of the police officers too, but that force is shown to be complicit with vigilante border patrols.

On the word redemption, though... Redemption has a meaning besides the moral one we've come to ascribe to it. To be redeemed is not to be vindicated or forgiven or to atone; it means to be reunited. One who is redeemed is one who is freed from captivity and, by accepting an unjust punishment, Sean redeems Daniel; he frees him from the curse placed upon his shoulders.

Blood brothers seems like the happiest ending for the brothers together. That is what I consider my head-cannon. I did get the Lone Wolf ending with Sean dead and assumed I really messed up and got the worst ending possible. After seeing redemption, I changed my mind. Sean is so completely broken at the end of that it is like worse then being dead.

Very good analysis, I considered the word "redemption" (in this context only) as atoning for every choice that has been made and this is why I concluded the word was incorrect.
Yet we can ask ourselves if redeeming Daniel by going to jail was the best way, if we consider redemption with your definition, I believe going to Mexico is the best way to redeem Daniel.

No argument. Blood Brothers is the best ending.

maybe they all have good and bad aspects to them that make them more likeable than others

I’m with the gang here, Blood Brothers: happier for them and also cooler.

It no pays to be good, life is not fair, playing as good with “high morale”, you get separated ways and worse redemption that is very sad, undeserved and depressing, perhaps I prefer seeing Sean killed like in lonewolf than broken in that way.

I enjoyed a lot playing as “bad”, with high brotherhood, not hiding his powers, I felt like Palpatine with my own Vader little bro to protect me and kick butt.

LONEWOLF I surrendered just to check the ending, it was funny to see Daniel angry and disobey you, forcing you into the car and starting it in a tantrum: “No! all this Bs for nothing?…” and he is right. (Perhaps i didn't feel so emotional seeing Sean being killed because i knew it was an "experiment" to see the ending and crossing the brother would be my "cannon" ending)

BLOOD BROTHERS: I was nervy when I saw Daniel going out: “NOOO! What are you doing?! Get into the car you are going to get shot!” it was so cool to see him kicking butt and all was alright at the end, they did what Sean wanted since the beginning and both crossed safe, best ending!

Blood Brothers is the only ending where you have met the goal of getting the brothers to Mexico together. So from that point of view it is the only successful ending.

However, from another point of view the goal of the entire story is for Sean to try to still somehow be the person his father knew and not turn into a criminal drifter. You are deciding about this the whole way across all chapters. IF you look at it this way, Lone Wolf might actually be the best ending because he dies giving a speech about who he is, not being a criminal. He was just an average high school kid sucked into this crap and he will be who he was even if he has to pay the price.

Every ending besides Lone Wolf seems to destroy the spirit of who Sean was from chapter 1.

Blood brothers is not a good ending from a moral standpoint.

Daniel just smeared the pavement with the blood of about 20 cops.
Esteban wouldn’t want this for him.

Technically you are right, in my first play I took REDEMPTION, is the one most people chose (34% last time I checked) you both took the responsibility for your acts (and stuff you didn’t) and decide to pay the price and be honest and good, but man! I felt so screwed and depressed, so unfair.

I am not sure if I agree with LONE WOLF; yes Sean is honest and died for it, but if you got that ending is because you screw up Daniel bad that he refuse to take that honest way and disobey you, and he is sort of right I love a lot his phrase in that ending “ALL THAT ***T FOR NOTHING?!!!”

SEPARATE WAYS is the other way around, Sean doesn’t care anything to cross, but you raised Daniel too good and he jumps from the car deciding to stay paying the price.

Still my favorite is BLOOD BROTHER; yes is bad is WRONG; but is FUN, is not what the dad wanted but the bros endured so much bs. Knowing the game mechanics since the beginning, bounding a lot with Daniel, teaching just to survive not being a goodie, not to hide his powers…

If you played like that since the beginning THE FINAL SCENES ARE VERY FUN: you end with a super lil bro that dies to protect you and does anything you say without second thoughts; fun to see the contrast when he hurts the cop that was interrogating you, Sean checks on him and Daniel is like “man who cares let’s go!”, The cops approaching inside the jail something like : “Daniel kill them” he is like “ok… stupid cops” (I haven’t tried in high mor, but he may disobey you to kill the cops or doubt a lot and when you check the cop interrogating you he is like “oh no I didn’t want to hurt anyone :( ”)

First, I like all the comments, very compliments.

I think that "right endings" are when Sean understands Daniel:
- Hight morality - Redemption: Daniel want not go to Mexico, and Sean pays all to protect your brother. For me this is a little sad ending because Sean was broken from jail.
- Hight brotherhood - Blood Brother: Daniel want stay with Sean so they escape to Puerto Lobos together to live free.

This forum and played another time changed my option, thanks.

I believe Lone Wolf is a punishment for irrationnal players.

Getting this ending means that Daniel is morally low, because as his brother, you transgressed most of the rules of this society (stealing, killing cops, escaping etc...) since the beginning until reaching the final dilemma. Every choice lead to Daniel only caring about surviving.
Deciding to surrender is clearly irrational after all the choices that have been made.
Dragonrubi 2020 年 5 月 11 日 下午 1:10
I was thinking about it, and for me the most illogic ending is SEPARATE WAYS.

BLOOD BROTHERS very logic and kick ass if you raised Daniel evil.

LONE WOLF also very logic evil Daniel rebelling and complaining “all this ****t for nothing?!”

REDEMPTION: also logic and the sadder but more politically correct, as the protective older brother, you take the reponsability of everything for the best of your younger bro.

But SEPARATE WAYS, is very surprising how Daniel just suddenly jump from the car without reason, I think I understand the devs logic behind this, but still I don’t feel it, Daneil followed loyaly Sean everywhere to Puerto Lobos and in the last moment he did that sudden decision; taking responasbility for all like in Redemption? Or perhaps I was considering in aprt could be he never was convinced of Puerto Lobos, it was Sean’s dream, so at the end he decided to help Sean goen there but he chicken out and decided stay in US? I dunno.
