Best Ending
Wanted to know people's opinion on the best ending and which one they think it is personally I believe it to be the one where Daniel lives with the grandparents (forget their names) and sean lives in Mexico with Cassidy. Initially, I was annoyed but thought about it for a while and I think its the best because Daniel got to live his life and even though the brothers arent together they still keep in contact at least with letters.

As I wrote in a different post, I ended the 5th episode two days ago, exploring both ending, surrender or not surrender.
I was thinking a lot about it because it has not been easy to choose, to take the right decision for both brothers. Sean suffered a lot in these 5 episodes and I think it would be unfair he would spend 15 years in a jail, for what? He's not a criminal, he's not a murderer.
Yes, after 15 years he'll be free again but look at him out of the prison, he's alive but not inside.
On the contrary I never seen a so happy Sean like in the photo he mailed to Daniel from
Puerto Lobos, with Finn or Cassidy is not important, but I found the answer I was looking for,
the best ending possible for Life is Strange 2, because Daniel will be free too sooner or later, his grandpa won't live forever and I'm sure he'll visit Sean and Finn/Cassidy in Puerto Lobos a day and maybe he'll stay there...

Blood Brothers is hands down the best outcome, and tied for the best written along with the saddest (worst as in worst for the brothers) ending of Sean dying. They both end up together, they might be considered morally grey but they aren’t bad guys and any crime is targeted against gangs coming for them. They have each other and in every other ending their bond is shattered - they lose their only real remaining family. And don’t get me started on any of the Sean in jail endings. Not only are they “bad” endings as in the worst for the characters but they aren’t written well, taking any decisions we made along the way and cheapening them into “15 years with no parole” and no explanation.

Agreed. Blood Brothers is by far the best ending. The others, especially if Sean goes to jail for fifteen years, is just too cruel. The scene where he breaks down at the campfire was brutal because he realizes how much he missed of Daniel's life and that they'll never be able to get that back. The fact they go their separate ways and Daniel cries alone in the car says it all.

Yes, Blood Brothers is the best ending. Sean kept his father's wish. And the Wolf Brothers stayed together.

For me it was Parting Ways. For a few reasons:

1. It allows both brothers to grow and develop independently. The situational demands of what they went through made it necessary for them to be joined at the hip, but I would say that they
each need some distance from one another. We saw Sean had already began to pull away from Daniel at the start of Ep 3. And much of the conflict in that episode is sparked by Daniel's resentment of Sean having other people in his life. It permits them to grow as individuals, not
lingering in each other's shadow. And if Sean romanced Finn or Cassidy, they get to be there with him.

2. In many ways, each brother gets what he wanted. Sean gets to live the Puerto Lobos dream, (which I think has much more to do with him wanting to maintain connection/memory to his father) and Daniel gets to grow up in a stable home and with Chris next door. And, truthfully, Daniel never seemed particularly sold on the whole Puerto Lobos idea. That was definitely more Sean's thing.

3. Daniel can finally take a hit for the team. In many ways, Daniel giving himself up and letting Sean go is his first truly mature action, the first action he takes that is not wholly selfish, the first decision he makes in which he places another person's best interest above his own. Personally, I think that's a good thing. Especially so for someone who has such extraordinary power.

Jowygr 9 ENE 2020 a las 8:22 p. m.
And to be honest to all of those that think the high morality endings are the best options you dont see the brothers to be very bad people in the blood brothers ending they made a repair shop they are not thiefs or murderers they had to get away from the cops at the border but that was a necesary evil since they werent really at fault for much in the entire game they where hunted down like wolfs and they had to fight back to end up happy together end of story.

If Daniel took all the blame for everything whats stoping Sean from returning to USA and be with him??? Or return to seattle and be with his friends and school mates then 2 years later take Daniel back to. The only thing this ending does is make them both criminals.... and remember they didnt do at least not willingly anything bad since this is the high morality ending. As i stated above its the first time i feel bad for being good....

This game really manages to nail it when it comes to how corrupt and unfair humanity is and i think they need to get an award for it!!!

Also one more thing you say that its the first time Daniel takes responsibility and is not a selfish brat the same can be said in the lone wolf ending he goes and say its his time to protect them (that it ends in tragedy is a missfortune.)

Am I wrong if I say that you have recently finished it?

There is no happy ending, you always pay a price.

Do you think that Daniel revealing his powers has to rid Sean of everything he has done? The entire game has been Sean's (Dontnod) choice and has made many mistakes that he finally acknowledges and are listed in the detention center; From the absurd persecution of the police as a suspect in the murder of the police, everything is a nonsense ... so the end, after the soup dontnod prepares us for politics and topics mixed with the American health system, communities outside the system , religious cults, the border and so on ... the end as I say, is to cause everyone to feel that the world is not fair and that is so in all the endings they give us (in which Sean dies even more xD)

We each have our arguments to lean towards one end or another, but let's be fair, the best ending, the FAIR ending would have been that from the beginning, without compromising racism in Seattle (one of the cities with less racism in the USA ...) Dontnod would have made a better game.

I never said its the perfect ending i just said its the best hermanos should stay strong together that is my point of view
And here is the order from best to worst ending in my opinion.
1. Blood Brothers (Brothers stay together, yea ok recenting a bit the laws and stuff but at least they dont end up complete criminals, making they're own shop and living together as they should. Sucks bit that they probably have cut all ties with the rest of the characters (Mom-Grandparents-Friends, but that was the plan most of the game anyway))
2. Parting Ways (this cause at least both brothers stay out of jail and live they're lifes bit normal plus its great if you get Sean hooked up with your favorite gender character in the end so he isnt all alone.)
3. Redemption (this one sucks for Sean and favors David only, so its the 2nd worse ending for me.) (This was the ending i got first and immidiately reloaded and got Parting Ways, which didnt satisfy my either immidiately checked youtube videos to see the other two and choose, now im on the second playthrough making Daniel a little rebel so he gets the Blood Brothers ending which i want to be on my savefile)
4. Lone Wolf (this one is the worse cause Sean dies and David becomes a total criminal, thought i loved the point where he states its his time to take care of things maybe if Sean survived this ending it wouldnt be in the last spot.)

I really like the blood brothers ending because it's not sad and the border scene with Daniel powers is epic although you kill everybody there. They are together in Mexico, Daniel is not happy, Sean either but they are together. But in a few years they will eventually form a family and move on with their own lifes on their own.

Parting ways is my 50/50 with Redemption "Best ending", in each one a brother sacrifices himself for the other. 15 years in prison is for me the last critic from dontnod to the American legal system, and as racism is exaggerated.

lone wolf is a brave ending, to kill your character is a crazy option for most of the developers, but it's there.

Anyway, all this endings have something in common: lacks logic.
Do you think that Mexico would not cooperate with USA to find the Diaz brothers? There were cameras in the border, USA knows what Daniel is able of. Sean alone in Mexico would have been found and returned to USA. 15 years in jail for what Sean can be prosecuted for real is impossible in our world, maybe dontnod world is different...

Yeah I wasn't surrendering after everything that happened. Sean wasn't really at fault . Besides saw no reason to hide Daniels powers. They are not together, though keep in contact. It's not a total happy ending, but atleast Daniel is with his grandparents, Sean is with Cassidy and they are free. How do you get the ending, where they both go to Mexico?
