Both of their lives would be torn apart because they are separated and have to deal with things that they didn't do. If you ask me, it seems a bit silly to navigate across the country and then surrender at the last minute when you have a superpower to easily get you across, even if it involves casualties. It's unfortunate that it has to happen, but they were just trying to survive. Either way I feel their dad would be proud of them for their sacrifices and will to survive and achieve better lives in any ending.
For me personally:
1. Blood Brothers
2. Parting Ways
3. Redemption
4. Lone Wolf
The so called "good" endings does not feel fair to me. I underrstand now that, in LiS universe, doing the "right" thing does in the end mean screwing yourself over.
absolutely ... by far
i want that they have a good life, with family, friends, no cops after them.
remember what this couple told in the prison. they said that it is a lot worse in mexico, that is why they tried to get in america.
and it does not look good how they live there, and i'm pretty sure that they are not really happy to live like that. daniel wanted to be with chris, grandparents and his mom. but like Lumis said, there is no good ending, maybe just a right and bad decision. probably you say this is unfair because they didnt done anything, that the cop is fault, but they still done illegal things. if sean wouldnt ran away im pretty sure he wouldnt sit in there for 15 years.
Ps: my opinion!!!
If I were to rate them it's:
1. Parting Ways - Because even though they are separated, they keep their morality in tact and can still talk. But Sean never gets to visit in America again. Which is pretty sad.
2. Blood Brothers - Because they stay together and get to do what they set out to do.
3. Redemption - Sean gets punished for half of his lived life for... Very questionable things, and Daniel gets off Scott free despite being the catalyst for all of the problems in Sean's life, as Daniel's tomfoolery is what ultimately leads to Estaban getting shot and then he gets to grow up the rest of his time in a normal environment next to the kid that he met. Sean gets to visit Daniel again, but seriously, I doubt I ever would in this ending. Because 15 years is a lot of time to just be *out* of society.
4. Lone Wolf - Is just garbage.
I think on a different day of the week I could like Blood Brothers more.
eh, it's not THAT bad in Mexico ... also - i'm fairly certain that cutscene might have something to do with that news clipping shown earlier in the ending
I'm pretty sure they are monitoring him because of his powers, as I doubt he'd be under house arrest for juvenile charges for 6 years, if he was even actually charged with anything in this ending. They don't want a scandal on their hands, and they wouldn't be able to snatch him up without the entire nation asking questions because of Sean and Daniel's notoriety. So I think it's very possible that he vet much under government surveillance, and I feel like that's a part of the reason why he cries at the end. Not only does he feel alienated from his brother, but he's trapped without escape and will likely be jailed (if he was charged) or otherwise taken once becoming an adult. It's another point against the ending being the best one, and I legitimately do feel like it's the most grey out of them all.
What part of the ending is 'antithesis' to the game...we still get all those themes. Systemic injustice because the brothers face serious consequences for actions out of their control...brotherhood because they are still close and a visit in the future is definitely possible. I'm unsure about the ankle bracelet and why it doesn't occur in the Redemption ending (an ending that really doesn't feel like redemption). I figure Sean takes the blame for the weird explosions, but it doesn't make sense for Daniel to not have the same ability to blame everything on Sean. Anyway, we know from the photos and Daniel's face that he very much is happy. He hangs out with Chris, save people (school bus), has a dog, and spends time with his mom. The reconciliation between Claire and Karen is a huge plus, too. Sean seems happy too.
For me, this ending was as good as the brothers were gonna get. Yeah, their codependency is shattered, but they still talk and live full separate lives. The Redemption ending was too bitter, not enough sweet for me. Daniel is good and safe and happy, but Sean is left traumatized by unjust imprisonment. The brothers are still for the most part separated. I think Parting Ways takes the cake for the good endings.
Life is Strange has always been about sacrifice, right? There's something to lose in both endings, but Parting Ways treats the brothers a little more fairly. LiS 2 is also about Daniel's experiences and education...by the end, he decides that what he wants isn't the same as what Sean wants, and I'm really into the message too.
