Question about Life is Strange 2
thank you for helping me. In Episode Three, are there any scenarios that allow both Sean and Finn to escape death after the confrontation with Merrill?

Sean escapes death regardless.
I know Finn can get shot and die in one ending if you do nothing, no idea what decides that as I purposely tried to get him killed in one playthrough and he still survived.
I said no to his plan both times in my first.

Just remembered he can get shot by Merill twice, once if you take the gun from the safe and shoot him, he will shoot and kill Finn in retaliation and one where he just shoots fin when he's on the ground.
Don't know if there's any other variations.

It seemed like Finn survived in my first scenario as well but Sean died.

I really don't understand and I'm having a lot of difficulty

If Finn dies the little boy goes into a rage and everyone dies but him.

I still need help

So is there no way to save Finn as well as Sean?

If the answer is no,how do you save Sean so that the little boy does not lose his brother?

To have Finn survive the screw-up with Merrill you have to do two things: when given the choice, choose "discuss" and then "Daniel's power". In the end Daniel will get the rage-boost and trash the place regardless of your choices.

Sean did not escape death in my scenario...Finn died, the little boy went into a rage and killed everyone in the room including his brother

Sean is alive. He just looses an eye. Watch the teaser. And that happenes no matter what.
Finn will survive if Daniel uses his power. Tell him to use it if you want to be on the save side. If you don't allow him to use it, he CAN disobay Sean. That depens on how you treated him before.

Discussing with Merril wohn't change anything except Sean will get a headbut in return.

For what I've seen, if you don't, Finn will get shot in the leg, whereas if you do Merrill will just knock him down.

This is really throwing me;

This is labelled: "Life Is Strange 2 Episode 3 FINN PATH - GOOD CHOICES + Best Ending"

How can it possibly be the best ending when both the older brother Sean and Finn are both shot dead?

That doesn't make any sense unless poster of walkthrough has perhaps insider information that the next episode will enable the little boy to miraculously heal both characters. No one would know that at this time since that episode is a long way from being released

Finn will get shot in the leg if you woke up Big Joe while stealing his truck and he is present at the confrontation. If he's not present, the discuss/obey choice is virtually the same.

But we know that Merrill doesn't stop at shooting Finn in the leg. His next move shoots Finn dead.

And what about the walkthrough (above)? There's something that is not making logical sense.

Because the one shown in that video is not the best possible outcome, plain and simple. :)

So how does player conduct this episode and save Finn as well as Sean?

That video you posted is clearly not the best possible ending. The best possible ending is, if Big Joe isn't in the scene (you have to not wake him up and/or sabotage his car) and Finn doesn't get shot. To achieve this you have to tell Daniel that he should use his power. But if you tell him to do nothing he CAN ignore you and use his power anyway. So there's two possible endings with Finn alive and two with Finn dead.

Sean however will survive in any case. And there's no scenario in which Sean get shot, like you said before. He only looses his left eye (it seems). Daniel will get shot in the shoulder, but he's probably not wounded deadly.

But how does anyone know that Sean has lost an eye (unless they are privy to information regarding next episode that has yet to be released?

How could anyone interpret a human body that is lying completely still with a bullet through the eye as not being dead?

Where is any indication that Sean survives? The last segement of episode 3 scenario shows a single young man (who it is isn't shown) walking along a highway alone.

Because he had a big shard stuck in his eye. It's unlikely that it hasn't caused severe damage to it.

There is no possible ending, where one of the characters got shot into the eye. If you mean Sean, it's not a bullet, it's a shard, like i explained above.

The young man in the teaser is Sean :)
