[S2] All Pro-Daniel Choices for the best possible relationship [Contains spoilers for E3]

I noticed a lot of players have difficulties connecting to Daniel. I play with three different save files, so I compared my choices and made a quick guide to score the best possible relationship with Daniel in your own playthrough.

**Episode 1:**

- Give the Chock-O-Crisp to Daniel
- Defend Daniel in front of Brett
- Steal the Chock-O-Crisp for Daniel in the parking lot, but do not steal anything else in this episode! This is important! If you steal too much, Daniel will loose respect for you and not take your orders seriously in future episodes. Alternatively, buy a Chock-O-Crisp for Daniel at the gas station
- Teach Daniel about the trail-blazing and make sure he doesn’t fall in the woods
- Prevent Daniel from eating the poisonous berries and assure him there aren’t scary animals in the woods, to ensure he‘ll sleep through the night
- Teach Daniel how to skip rocks, make sure he wins the Power Bear toy at the store
- Do not play pranks on Daniel!
- Do not make Daniel beg for money at the gas station
- Make sure Daniel had enough to eat
- Don’t steal from Hank or attack him
- Promise Daniel not to lie to him again

Less important Pro-Daniel details: play hide and seek in the woods, let him win the wood race, join him on the ledge to watch the clouds, howl with him like wolves, let him play Mustard-Party on your phone, prepare a bubble bath for him and get the towels, dance with him on the bed. If you win the better bed at the motel, leave it to Daniel


**Episode 2:**

- Do not throw a snowball at Daniel or Mushroom
- Do not call Daniel out for using his power for chores and giggles. Ever.
- Don’t draw anything mean on Daniel‘s backpack
- Tell Daniel it’s okay to use his powers if absolutely necessary
- Killing the Cougar or not doesn’t influence your relationship with Daniel as far as I can tell, but Daniel seems happier to give Mushroom a proper burial if you end up killing it. It doesn’t matter if you tell Daniel heaven’s imaginary or not
- Tell Daniel it was right to save Chris
- Play along with Daniel when Chris announces his superpowers during playtime and tell Chris „It‘s cool“
- Tell Daniel to be honest with Chris at the christmas market. He‘ll obey you as long as you didn’t steal multiple times in episode 1 and you‘ll get best possible ending where Chris meets you at the tree house and gives Daniel his cape
- Get a present for Daniel at the market
- Help Daniel play a prank on the guy at the market
- Let Daniel help out Steven with his power

Less important Pro-Daniel details: help Daniel with his homework, help Claire with her chores while Daniel watches and set a good example, howl with Daniel in the backyard, chose a superhero nickname at Chris‘ house, don’t snap at Daniel whenever he brings up Karen


**Episode 3:**

- Ask Daniel about the missing watch
- Be sympathetic about Karen
- Help Daniel wash the dishes at the camp
- Don’t get drunk or high at the campfire
- Walk Daniel back to his tent instead of getting the haircut. Daniel will talk about his frustration about losing his friends and address the missing watch again. Tell Daniel you‘ll always be there for him
- Step in when Big Joe attacks Daniel
- Accept Finn‘s offer to the heist and do not side with Cassidy. This is important! Daniel strongly dislikes Cassidy, as proven with multiple nasty remarks like „Lyla was way better“ and during the heist with Finn, he‘ll even tell you that „Cassidy was useless“. If Daniel and Finn go to the heist alone, Daniel will become furious and jealous at you for dragging Cassidy into the plan and may attack her twice. If you accept the heist however, Daniel will act cheerful and excited and he’ll help you out with his power multiple times

(Side note: You can flirt with Cassidy and kiss her at the lake regardless, as long as you don’t bring her to the heist)

- Prevent Finn‘s death at the final confrontation by instructing Daniel to use his power, or else Daniel will blame his death on you
- Don’t use the gun from Merrill’s safe (you can take it, but don’t use it when given the chance), as shooting Merrill will result in Finn‘s death and Daniel outright attacking you

I did most of what you stated, playing as a good big brother who takes care of Daniel (basically as I would have wanted to be treated), but did not go on the heist, so Daniel and Finn went instead. When Cassidy and I arrived, he did not hurt her. But there had been no romance before. Also, Finn survived. As far as I have noticed, Daniel always attacks Sean at least once, but in different intensities.

Thanks for the guide :) I've nailed the majority of the points in my previous playthroughs, but I'll probably run through the episodes again during my vacation this summer to see the differences.
