Where was it said that they're aiming for a full year circle? Maybe it will come this way, but i don't know. One of the main motivators for the story was the whole "running from the police" thing.
I wouldn't like a timeskip here, because that would mean, that we're not seeing what happened after Daniel took off. We could just read about it in the diary and i would prefer them to "show, don't tell" in that situation^^
Also it drastically reduces the chance that Cassidy will be a part of episode 4. But perhaps this was not intended anyway, because depending on whether one has agreed to the Heist or not, she is not very happy with us.
Also. They wont show. They never did so far. So there WILL be another time skip! Every new episode had one. We will only learn what happend at the end of EP3 after we saw Sean lying there through his sketchbook notes and if he can do it his drawings.
Slowly I do believe a atm running therory -- Jackob did take Daniel along and they are going to his community and the priest / leader actually turns out to be Karen.
Please add a spoiler tag to your thread title or I will have to lock the thread.
Well, it's different now. In episode 1 they took a bus and drove into the sunset. Destination unknown (Diary during that scene revealed Eugene, Oregon).
At the end of episode 2 they hopped on a train headed south.
In both cases it felt like one chapter was over and a new one starts. But in this case it felt like it was interrupted in the middle and we had no real closure to it. I don't feel like a time jump at this point would be really appropriate.
It wouldn't fit either that we see an interrogation scene in the teaser. If he really comes to the hospital and then gets caught by the police, that would happen immediately afterwards. So I think they will continue there. There's no reason why they shouldn't put in a time jump later in the episode and maybe he'll really be locked up for a while, as you say. In episode 2 they also jumped a week forward in the middle of it.
Yes, that's my theory^^
We are already ahead of the Life is Strange timeline in Season 1. Season 2 started 3 years after. A timeskip of several years would also mean, that the next episodes would take place in the future, which will not happen.
It's clearly Sean in the teaser and it's not him (or Daniel) who speaks the voiceover. It's a unknown cop. Ant he is not wandering through Arizona. It's actually Nevada, which is proven by all the casino billboards.
1) Daniel knocks them all to the floor first, before his final outburst which trashes the place. if you remember from ep. 1, Brett Foster wasn't killed by Daniel's outburst because he was already laid out on the ground. So Sean, Cassidy, Merrill, and (maybe) Finn likely all survived but are injured/unconscious.
2) if you slow down the video, you can see that when Daniel first knocks them down, a couple of things fall off a shelf onto Sean's face. this is probably where he got the glass shard in his eye.
I'll have to play again that scene... in my game Daniel was injured by Merril, and the others are unconscious, injured or dead... but I need to play it again calmly. It's only an opinion, but you already know that Dontnod loves the dramas so much, I bet Finn or Cassidy could have died. Sean is a very important character in this story...
Cassidy is safe. She can't die. She only can get injured as the consequence screen revealed. But Finn can die. Merrils status is unknown. Could be alive or death^^
I too want to see what happend, not only read about it in Seans sketchbook. We just have to wait and see how DN continues the story. My only wish atm is that neither Sean nor Daniel get killed at the end! They already had to go through so much sh!t by now - they deserve some happines and a way to start over with their lifes at the end of this. And like I said before - another sacrifice scene where you have to choose between one or the other, or even both would be too close to the end of LiS1 and thus be very uncreative and very lame.
The ending of the episode and the teaser for episode 4 strongly suggests, that Daniel took off and that we will be alone in the next episode. But i still have hope, that Cassidy will accompany us.
I also have posted a theory about what i think will happen next and where Daniel is. And more important who is with him^^

Yes, i don't wanna see this either. It would be nice if we would have a few more different endings which are based on the decisions we made throughout the game and not just the last one.. for a change^^
An hypothetical Sean death, either as a result of the explosion or after a time due to his serious injuries, would create problems and holes in the story. What would Daniel do without his brother tutelage?... As players we would have to to play with Daniel character?
I think that Sean will not die, but we'll see how is he.
