No, i didn't ignore that. It just wasn't relevant. You started this with bringing up pedophilia, remember?
Obviously without knowing what that means. Then you got backfire, looked it up and came back with ephebophilia, which is clearly not the same.
And i'm not trying to loophole anything. You made a false statement and i corrected it. That's it.
And an AoC of 18 is laughable by the way. You've reached the legal age anyway.
Or is this 21 too in the US? Ok, must be, if you're not allowed to drink below that age.
(sometimes the federal government does, however, "rule by wallet." the government constitutionally couldn't pass a law setting the minimum drinking age at 21, but what they could and did do was tell the states "hey, we ain't sayin' ya gotta set your minimum drinking age to 21, but if you don't you might miss all of that money we give you for maintaining the highways.")
EX:
I meant for Sean to be gay (or I guess bi, but more on that later) - I tried to ignore Cass and go for Finn from the moment he called me sexy or hot or whatever at the beginning of the episode.
However - I get back from work, chat with Finn while he plays with his wood (you know what I mean) and did not speak to Cass. I sit down to draw, choose Finn, and yet who gets up and shoves their face in mine? Cass. Do this other way around, and Finn says nothing and Cass is in your face in this version of events too.
There are other ways the either shove her in your face or make her seem like "the good guy".
As for what I said before ("or I guess bi"), if I look at the "straight" choices and what they lead to and compare them with the "gay" choices, Sean is basically what you can easily get with a sexually confused gay 16yo boy. And, actually, with a sexually confused bisexual boy. Also, given other choices you can make in Ep 1 and 2 with certain dialogue, it's not really out of nowhere for him to admit this sort of stuff during the first time he feels in any way comfortable doing so (around the fire that night). That said, just as Cass is kind of thrown in your face, I dont really know why they had to do similar things with even just the topic of girls during the opening of the season, but then, you can easily just make him seem awkward abut it all in a way that leave things open enough. Of course, one throw-away line mention this awkwardness and him mentioned something-something-kinda-gay would probably have helped.
That all said, one has to wonder, is WE choosing this for him or do both version say something about him regardless of what we choose?
At any rate, to use the games lingo - I am rather thirsty for gay boys in games, so he WILL stay at the first, he will say some boys are cute, and he will be in on the heights no matter what.
(of course, making him bi is certainly the easier way out when they only let you have the main character realize herself or not in the first game, but of course, a gay girl works better with the majority, and perhaps Square is only willing to let things go so far)
Nah, you can say what you want about his plan, but he was considered part of "the family" and hung with them 24/7/365. He could easily, if in with Merrill, get any group together and keep them feeling happy and welcome - he doesn't need to stick with one group year after year (or however long its been).
Sean was into girls in EP1, he didn´t care for Finn in EP2 and was clearly smitten by Cass.
You even bring up who his world in the Camp orbits around: Cassidy. Daniel perceived her as the threat, not Finn.
Go for the suddenly blossoming love all you want but Cassidy as a romantic option just works better, exactly like Chloe did in Lis1. From the way the characters react outside of a few, limited scenes and from a screentime point of view alone this franchise seems to be about female love interests. not male ones.
However Finn is grungy as hell and super shady.
This is my issue. DONTNOD has to have noticed this season isn't being received very well, and I feel like this is a tack-on appeasement. They got together and went 'hey the fans don't like LiS2, so what did the first game have that we could inject to make them like his season?' and they decided on 'had more gay' as the answer. His flirting and kiss with Finn is so awkward and as ham-fisted as everything else in the game.
Sometimes the thing you are looking for is right under your nose - Sean just did not see it.
I mainly used the "I dont romance" option because I do not want Sean to engage in anything untill the BS he and Daniel are in has been resolved one way or the other. They have enought on their minds, no need to add relatioship troubels to it. Besides you can not not go to the lake. The game forces you to go after Cassidy so Daniel and Finn can leave. Also - nothing wrong with Skinny-dipping with a friend.
As for Finn as the gay option. Its a tagged on option to please LiS1 fans who very openly said on reddit, these very boards and the Suqeenix survey - they like LiS2 more if Sean was gay! Sean being gay comes right after “I want a Max and Chloe crossover!”. Problem is. So far LiS2 did not give ANY hint that Sean is bi or gay! He was in to Jen in EP1. It’s all he can think and talk about with Lyla. He got the hots for Cass at the X-Mass marked the moment they started to talk. If LiS2 hinted at anything than that Sean might be a furry. The sheer fact that the Cassidy romance has so much more dev work put in – dialogue options, the entire lake scene, the tent scene – than Finn (just a kiss) – and adding how he behaves in EP 1+2 shows very well what Sean intended sexual orientation is – he heterosexual! But unsure as Jen was his very first real crush he wanted to pursue to the sex level, but he was too nervous / afraid to act and Lyla - the good friend she is although being deeply in love with Sean - stepped in to get things moving for Sean with Jen.
And that's why you don't betray Lyla!
Sean had his swim with Cassidy and didn't check on her or sleep with her in my play despite how much she was obviously pushed at Sean (laying back legs open at camp anyone?), that was annoying as you'd think leaning more on Finn they game would provide more equal interactions or at least get Cassidy to back off a little.
Oh yeah Finn lived at the end of episode too!
Part of the family because he always hung with them? Gimme a break. Guy was keeping an eye on them and keeping them all in line for Merril. Big Joe was the stick, he was the carrot.
