Sean's eye - spoiler alert

Why the hell did Sean have to loose one eye? I mean, how evil can the developers be, to let this decent young guy loose one eye? As a minimum they could have let the eye be wounded, so that it could slowly heal again.

Here is a hint to the delevopers, since there is only one episode left. Max definetely has a job to do here, to meet with Sean and go back in time and avoid that he looses his eye.

How much of a sociopath must you be to condescend to Sean like that because of his age? I don't have any problem with this since it's just showing all of the ♥♥♥♥ that he and Daniel have been going through this entire storyline.

I mean the guy was in an explosion, to be honest I was just happy the guy was still alive and that episode 4 wasn't just us following Daniel. My main worry for the character was his ability to draw after losing the eye.

There's this thing where us writers sit down and think 'okay, so we have this character with a set of strong traits....what is the worst thing that can happen to them?'

It's all part of story telling, and since LIS is so drama-oriented they had to go for some shocking turns.

I personally find it absolutely fitting to Sean's character. He was an excellent athlete and an artist with serious talent (even with one eye he's still killing it...) and both activities require good eyesight. For one eye to be taken away that was a huge piece of Sean (literally...) that was taken away.

I am not condescending with Sean at all. I feel very bad for him, loosing one of his eyes. It appears that DontNod is turning the whole story into a tragedy (as LIS-1 was). I am not happy with this and would like to have an opportunity to achieve a more or less happier ending (than LIS-1). Thus, Maxine needs to show up in the fifth chapter and do some surgical time travelling to make everything right.

Her time travelling to fix things didn't work out so well last time, my Arcadia Bay is a crater. Everyone is probably safer and happier if Max never uses her powers again. Also, that would just be really lazy writing. Magic undo button. It never worked like that in LiS1, it shouldn't work like that here.

I believe that the final twist, will be at the very end of esp 5 with Sean taking out the eye patch for his eye to be fully healed.

I guess you could say . . . Life is Strange. You can't predict what will happen, but you can influence how it happens, and sometimes you can't influence it.

Adventures have loss, otherwise it's not an adventure. He's lost his dad, his eye, the person who he's lost virginity to (based off your choices with Daniel, they're either dead or in hiding), his dog, and now he's trying not to lose his brother. However, with each loss, he becomes a better person, and now he has a choice to have his mother back in his life, too!

The eye wasn't gone, but the point is Sean will have a power. The power of healing, and I believe it will be revealed after the credits of esp 5.

That would be the twist, and nothing states only Daniel is allowed to have powers.
