Life is Strange 2

Thoughts on Episode 4...
I want to give my honest thoughts on Ep4 without being too dramatic, I do not want
to sound like a total pessimist.
So after playing Episode 4 it became clear to me that I really like LIS to go back to
good story writing without getting in all these provoking subjects like, thrump supporters,
the wall, mexicans and christians.
I did not enjoyed the last part of Ep4 at all.. I got a hunch alot of people agree on that
but that's just my opinion and subjective, however..
People can tell if it's a great story or if it isn't, and LIS2 does a bad job if you ask me.

Like I remebered when I first played LIS 1 and then the sequel, I was blown away by
how good it was written and the surprises it had in store for us to find out,
LIS 2 however is noting of that, instead tell some cliché stories about refugees and
fake christians in hope of what?! do people need to be impressed or..be sad, or laugh?

Sorry for being totally honest on this subject, but I am a bit depressed what is happening
in games world, EA issues, bioware, bethesda all going for the money and their schemes
and lootboxes, where are the guys the developers and studio's that ''Just'' can make some
good games that people like without pulling some controversial stunt again and again...

Enough said, I still have hope for LIS, if there will be a LIS 4 I hope from the bottom
of my heart that is will be a good game, a good story with lots of meaning,
because be honest man, ''Life is strange'' right?! yea......

i'm out

This game is delivering something different than we expect and I think this has something to do with the title. They got players' attention with hype about sequel to "Life is Strange" and now they can tell whatever story they want. I too felt somewhat dissapointed during my Episode 4 playtrought at some point, i mean, some themes here feels blant and "too on the nose", but then I genuely felt immersed in my decisions, like, "should I drive with the trucker?". Also all this thing about Karen has struck me emotionaly. It's some existential thing that feels through all of the game. Right now, I just don't believe in being dissapointed by the story that is still going and that is written by people who have something to tell, even if the story and characters won't struck me as much as the first game.

I dont think you can choose NOT to drive with the trucker.....
Honestly, that episode was probably worse than any other Life Is Strange episode I've played.

The shoehorning of political/social issues is ridiculous, it's like watching a villain of the week cartoon. The writing all season has been pretty subpar and honestly it feels so insulting when every episode starts with that incredibly long furry ♥♥♥♥ about two wolves.

This entire season has just lacked comfy factor, it's definitely not what I look for in this series.
If they ever makes a LiS3 (which I highly doubt at this point) this game has killed any chance of me buying it on launch.

Actually you can, poor Sean was so exhausted, I just had to keep him in the sun some more.
But nothing really happens, walk forward for a few seconds, fade to black, Haven Point.

This is another important factor to consider. The next will have way less pre-orders than this one because they won´t be able to fool the lis1 fans once more.

You guys really are crusading around here
I actually really liked this episode. Episode 3 was the worst for me. I didn't care for the side characters almost at all. The only good part was the ending and how the ending song related to the brothers. I didn't see it having to do with Trump supporters or the wall...well I don't remember the mention of the wall. I hate politically motivated games but the events like the racist guy and the cultist seemed like it could happen anywhere in bum-♥♥♥♥ nowhere, somewhere in America. It also had Sean have a discussion with one of his parents that left which felt relatable to me at least. Just in general I think it touched issues that are political without making it the focus and keeping it on just the Diaz family dynamic.
I dislike religious fanatics a lot, but this episode felt poor tbh, not much content and the writting was just bad :/
I must admit :
I loved LIS.
I kinda liked BTS even if it was cringy

But except for episode 2, I'm laughing my ass off with LIS2 : So much "cliché" :D I AM A WHITE MAN SO I AM A BRAINDEAD MAGA DUDE DUUUUHHH... (and of course the hippie junkies clichés and the freaked out cop cliché and the twister FBI agent cliché and the nice black nurse cliché etc....

New kind of experience i guess : Enjoying a game by laughing at it.
The desert situation was not serving the story in any way, it was put there to convey a message. AGAIN.

I'm more and more confident about Episode 5 ending. The latest was so predictable it would require a lot to convince me otherwise. In my opinion, we are definitely heading to a trial. My take is that no matter what path you choose, oh boy you're sure gonna be guilty of something.

There will be no happy ending : either prison for Sean to protect Daniel's secret at all costs, or freedom but Daniel would be exposed and mediatized or taken in a secret lab or whatever, something that will ruin is life for good.

Agent Flores was there to remind us that the Seattle case must be solved. Sean's idea of Puerto Lobos is nothing but a lullaby, a false security to make him go forward. There will be a rude awakening.
they just can't make up a good character and story tension without involving politics.
and also the characters are bad there are no really likeable and relateable character (it feels like the whole world against us) and the antagonist are really shallow (i kinda think that the antagonist are daniel all along) really hoping that the little ♥♥♥♥ goes to prison instead of sean.
the main characters are just meeh..

hoping something would change in episode 4 but god..
i dont personally think its ( bad ) writing, its just that either you like it or you don t. some could hate the first LIS and like this one better,.But as for me , what prevent me from liking it like i did like the first game its Daniel. The most unlikable character in video game history, i hate everything about that character so it ruin the story quit a bit for me. ( not exaggerating ) still like the game and dont regret buying it but cant help to think it could have been better without Daniel and making us having the power instead of him .
The way things are going I’m predicting the end outcome is going to be determined by your actions starting from the first episode. That may be why some people perceive this game as “too linear,” your decisions put you on a particular path instead of occasional big decisions and a final either/or choice. So I’m thinking the ending you get will be significantly different depending on whether you chose the “violent” options along the way. e.g. assaulting hank, letting Chris get hurt, shooting Merrill, etc. if you avoid the options of violence you may get a much better end result. Might also be why they’re planning such a long gap until the last episode.

No man, don't pretent this game has more meaning , it's has not. You're just wild quessing and besides the end does not matter it's the ride in between people care about and it fails short there
