Thoughts on Episode 4...
I want to give my honest thoughts on Ep4 without being too dramatic, I do not want
to sound like a total pessimist.
So after playing Episode 4 it became clear to me that I really like LIS to go back to
good story writing without getting in all these provoking subjects like, thrump supporters,
the wall, mexicans and christians.
I did not enjoyed the last part of Ep4 at all.. I got a hunch alot of people agree on that
but that's just my opinion and subjective, however..
People can tell if it's a great story or if it isn't, and LIS2 does a bad job if you ask me.

Like I remebered when I first played LIS 1 and then the sequel, I was blown away by
how good it was written and the surprises it had in store for us to find out,
LIS 2 however is noting of that, instead tell some cliché stories about refugees and
fake christians in hope of what?! do people need to be impressed or..be sad, or laugh?

Sorry for being totally honest on this subject, but I am a bit depressed what is happening
in games world, EA issues, bioware, bethesda all going for the money and their schemes
and lootboxes, where are the guys the developers and studio's that ''Just'' can make some
good games that people like without pulling some controversial stunt again and again...

Enough said, I still have hope for LIS, if there will be a LIS 4 I hope from the bottom
of my heart that is will be a good game, a good story with lots of meaning,
because be honest man, ''Life is strange'' right?! yea......

i'm out

Deck Nine showed an amazing game, for the limitations they were given with BtS, so with even more backing and freedom I have no doubts they could make LiS3 a winner.
Preach.
It was legitimately horribly written

Of course, two racist trump supports just show up randomly in the middle of the desert

Of course this christan group is actually a cult who practices conversion therapy

And of course, the episode ends with the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wall

This game is so awful lmao
LiS2 is just awful. Daniel is a brat, feels like I'm babysitting someones spoiled kid. Sean has no spine, let alone powers/abilities (unless you count getting his ass kicked as a superpower). Its bad when I'm rooting for one of the many many ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beating him up to just finally end it already.

I was hoping ep4-5 would be turn around points but so far its not.

I'm a pretty liberal person in that I agree with the 'point' they're deftly trying to force down our throats, but they do so with the subtlety of a baboon. Good for 'representation' I guess, but when its written so poorly it hurts. Try writing better story first before shoehorning this nonsense in.

Actual gameplay? I know these types of games tend to be light on the 'gameplay' aspects, but s4 was some of the worst in that regards I've ever encountered. ep4 should be a pinnacle episode of LiS2, but it was straight up one of the most boring of the entire franchise.

I've been waiting off on a negative review until ep5, but It'll prolly be a short pithy version of just this.

Sorry guys.

It was okay.

Like I wasn't bored out of mind like the first episode. It was enjoyable enough I guess, but I didn't like it as much as the third episode. It just felt like I was going along. Nothing really got me excited or emotional or anything.

I thought Daniel being so clingy with the church was weird. Like I understand he could have been tricked as to who she was. But he has known Sean his entire life and he is willing to just throw that away? To let him be hurt? He was so obsessed with his mother the last episodes and refused to believe Sean whenever he said his mother didn't care. But then suddenly gave that all up. It was strange and felt out of place.
Episode 4 was such a ♥♥♥♥ show... Did not like any of it. And I don't care for episode 5 at all now. I am leaving a negative review of this game and I will not support any future releases.

Daniel was written as a retarded brat. That's the only explanation.
Life is Strange takes place in real life with a twist, so I can totally see why it would have politics and religion. The only thing i was disappointed with, is this episode felt shorter to me.
i know what people are saying when they say ep 4 disappointed them, but to be honest i think that the developers are just wanting to create a game that "slightly" reflects the world we live in today? forget the ideas and stuff that are thrown your way,you can agree or not agree but at the end of the day its just a game,if you think your being "indoctrinated" just don't let it happen to you, and just enjoy the game for the mechanics, visuals , audio, music.. and the brother and brother story and environments, characters you don't find offensive.. etc
I think episode 4 has some pretty nice moments in it but I still think that overall it is really hard to make a cohesive story about traveling if you only have 2 characters that appear in every episode. In the first life is strange game you kinda got to know the side characters over the episodes which helped you to build a emotional attachment to those characters . In life is strange 2 you are almost always switching from one setting to another so every episode kinda feels like its own little story where only Daniel and his brother appear in each episode.

What kinda bothers me personally is that for some reason these 2 kids are traveling to Mexico because their father supposedly owns land there. As someone said earlier in this thread this isnt wild wild west anymore and people cant just settle down whenever they want to. So even in Mexico they would probably need to pay for food, electricity bills, clothes and so on. But for some reason they are just going to Mexico since that will somehow solve all their problems.

Though far bigger problem is the seeming absence of an overall plotline. Episode 4 should have been a episode where we would have been introduced to the plot device that will lead us to episode 5. But if the plot of the episode 5 is getting over the border to Mexico and avoiding some border patrols or having to face a drug cartel I will be personally pretty disappointed. In life is strange 1 we got a cool moral dilemma in the end but this one seems to be just a basic road trip story with some supernatural stuff thrown in.

omg its so strange really....... one of the best news that Kris is alive!! yeah! i think that he is dead and it have been so dramatic oh god
i think that idea with escaping from hospital is very stupid, but at all idea with escaping in Mexico (goal of a game) is kinda stupid lol, so that episode is cool, yeah
poor Seaun with his eye :(
At least they have been consistent in how mediocre every episode had been.

Like Sean I almost fell asleep

Life is Strange 2 is very ... grounded. And very "realistic" compared to season 1. I will not compare either seasons to BtS ... because that was fan fiction.

The writing (you can dislike the politic stuff if you want) is substantially better than season 1. Almost 90% of the voice acting is better done than season 1. Season 2 also contains 90% less "hello fellow kids!" dialog.

Sean is just a "nobody" and he's meant to be that way. You don't play as a character with a power in this game. Just like in other games where you play a character without a super power. He's supposed to be average/normal - just like "you" or I. In episode 2, there was a powerful little scene where Sean is outside smoking on the porch of their cabin; he attempts to raise his hand and use a "power" that he doesn't have. I can see myself doing this if I had a little brother who was "special" and I was not.

There is so many powerful and grounded moments in this game. I honestly feel like many of the people complaining about season 2 are teenagers or very young adults; especially without children or perhaps a younger sibling who is more than 6 years apart from them. Most can just not comprehend/resonate/feel for their type of situation - *Especially* since they're not white kids in a "High School" setting - like Max and Chloe (and Blackwell).

There is a reason why this game is getting so many reviews/stars/mentions.

I'm an adult, however I play games for fun.

This isn't fun, it's ham fisted political mediocrity.
I don't understand how making a game that addresses racism (which is a real thing) can be considered "political". Oh, wait I know. It's because some politicians have decided that racism is a "sort of okay political position to have".
As if a character throwing racial slurs at another is doing so because of what he votes rather than because he's an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Well....... that sucked.
