LiS 2 Getting removed in AUS???

Why... Developer/Publishers please fight this. The Australian Classification Board has been banning games left and right. Surely your title still fits under the Classification of R18+... SURELY?

Heads up for Australian digital store customers. #LifeisStrange2 will be unavailable to purchase on ALL platforms as well as re-download on PS4 for approximately 2 weeks from Wednesday onwards, while we work with the Australian age ratings board (ACB) to review age ratings.

This situation is temporary and only affects Australian digital storefronts. We will restore service asap and will keep you updated with any developments. Already installed LiS2 content will not be removed from your device during this period and will still be playable.

Nothing is being banned. The age rating is just being reviewed for readjustment and the game will be back on Steam in Australia asap.

That holds no legal grounds to be reclassified though... nothing in the legislation says they can or it should be reclassified. It would only be changed if something in a new episode makes it R18+ but that would be done when they review that episode... so removing it implies that theirs a modification to the game.

I'm still twiddling my thumbs here waiting for the game to be content complete before jumping in (I don't subscribe to this piecemeal, segmented business model).

I sure hope nothing will be censored or removed by the time I eventually pick this up and play later on this year.. =(

Seems pretty related to me..
Everyone else who bought day one has played all the released chapters up to this point; would suck for all of us who come in late to miss out on content or get a watered down version from concessions that might need to be made..
I can't fathom how this isn't related.. :S

If I had to guess, it's possibly the weed in episode 3.
Australia has a history of not liking drug related things in games, it's the only thing that comes to mind anyway. Not sure how they could remove/change that though? Or possibly the partial nudity? Or maybe something to do with the new episode.

I hope nothing is changed/censored though. Hopefully just a rating change. I hate that Australia can't keep up with the times when it comes to our games.

They say the opposite in america. They want your free stuff for all and gun laws and hate speech laws here.

It's the names we have issue with apparently... which makes no sense because it is almost legal in many places haha

I purchased the entire season, Will episode 5 download in Australia when released?
(I still have ep1-4 installed & ep5 is in my dlc library, But the store page does not show EP5)
It's been well over 2 weeks since this was announced.
And ep5 release date is almost here.

You shouldn't have any cause for concern. The Episode 5 page is not yet live (though it will be soon). Australia should not be treated any differently in this matter.

Hey so i just realized that LiS 2 has been removed from the steam store in Kuwait? will it ever return? and will future LiS games be available to purchase in the Kuwaiti Steam store?
