Copyright claims on every single video by Repost Network

I filed an appeal, but they decided they are still in their rights to copyright claim any gameplay of this game I upload to Youtube.
Care to weigh in on this devs? you wont get any sort of media advertising if everybody gets their monetization robbed from them for uploading your game. They wont want to upload any content at all.

Yeah I uploaded a first impressions video and got 2 copyright claims, but at least I don't care about monetization.

It's tought because many games have rights to use the song only on the game, not media produced with it, and it *might* be the case here.

Still, the devs should at least make a "content creator/streamer" option that would only unlock "uncopyrighted" songs that wouldn't lead to copyright claims. A few games have that option (I think last time I saw this was on Pit People).

well we should have somethign from the devs saying we are allowed to upload the gameplay. they paid to license and use the songs in it, so this is perfectly legal
I don't monetize my channel ( even though i could ) i just hate when this happens, and it's bc of the soundcloud postings. its' ALWAYS the soundcloud posting messing this up, happened to liek 35 of my games, and none of those were music based, just regualr games lol.

It's annoying (even worse when Youtube BLOCKS your videos) but at the same time it doesn't bother me too much. I wouldn't make much off of my videos anyway, my channel is somewhat dead despite the 300+ subs I have. xD

well im almost at 4k subs atm, but it aint about money really. I like this game, and i'd love to see more of it, maybe a sequel, etc. But if nobody huge ( that wants to get paod ) will upload after a copyright claim on content match - it will be hard to gain the legs it would get very quickly on youtube.

They use licensed music, so there is nothing they can do about that nor is it the devs responsibility to do so.

And honestly, who does YouTube those days, migrate to Twitch guys :D

Sucks to be you then, I actually make real revenue off YT.
Plus, I'm not a teenager who go nothing better to do than stream for hours long.

As for the licensing thing - Celeste's music was made by Lena Rain which is protected by copyright. However, the devs allowed players to monetize gameplay videos by releasing this statement after I personally addressed them:

So don't spread misinformation. If the devs really wanted they can do something.
I just happen to believe there's a greater interest across everyone involved in the making of this game that wish to not allow monetization.
