Better keyboard controls?

The fact that you can't rebind your keyboard controls... Is annoying. What if I wanna to dash with "Z", hmm? Maybe it's way better for me!
And one more thing - mouse buttons should be bindable too. Because of "max-number-of-buttons-pressed-lock" of some sort. Like, I can press only 2 buttons on my keyboard at once (with some exceptions like "ctrl+alt+del", but it doesn't matter), which disables diagonal dashes for me. And having no diagonal dashes in this game is physically painful.

controller is recommended for a reason. you can move any way you want with an analogue stick, or use the dpad to make fine adjustements and move in straight lines.
i know thats not the answer you wanted, but that's just how it is.

Fun thing that IT'S NOT. There's no "better played with controller" announcment in the beginning, like it is in Hollow Knight or Super Meat Boy. So it SHOULD be played OK with both controller and keyboard.
Btw, HK is still great and easy-controlled when playing with keyboard after some controls tweaking, so that's no excuse for making uncomfortable keyboard controls ('cause it's possible to turn keyboard experience into a good one)

Arrows + Space is pretty reasonable my man. Didn't have any issues personally.
I'm a sworn KBM user, and even I agree that this one is objectively better played on a gamepad though.

A good compromise would be Mouse control. Though it would be hard to control how far you dash and would be annoying in local.

Download a key remapper app for your windows.
Preferrably one where you can switch between "profiles" like Key Remapper.
Problem solved.
rebind to your hearts content.
