Black screen on menu

Regularly when returning to the main menu all is left is a black screen for me.
That is after:
- applying graphics settings, roughly 7 out of 10 times
- ending the tutorial

Screenshots made with SteamVR are all black too. I still hear the music and sound (robot) continuing though. So it just seems to be graphics.

Edit: This is with the HTC Vive, Windows 64bit, AMD RX 480, Intel 5***-something black edition..

I had the same problem, black screen when I returned to the main menu after changing graphic options. I disabled the social screen in the general tab on the main menu and now it works for me. maybe it will work for you. tested today on Rift s and wmr on a viveport version.
