Where is the 2 pack option and is the multiplayer still bad?

2 pack is available through the humble store for four bucks right now. Not sure about the multiplayer - came here to look for that answer :)

I played multiplayer with a friend a while back and it worked fine but keep in mind that we are in the same country,so not sure how it will work over seas. For me at least playing with someone in like America or somewhere far away never ends well aka welcome to delay city.
