Game Freezing in Multiplayer

I've been having a problem recently in multiplayer games where SB freezes in the middle of game play for five seconds ... is normal for about 20 ... then freezes again ... very frustrating. I don't experience this problem when it is just me playing against the bots. Only when someone joins in. My internet speed is fast. Don't see that as the issue. I'm playing on a MS Surface Studio 2. Using a Samsung Odyssey Plus. SB did not always do this. Seems to be something that started just recently. Any thoughts on what I might do to prevent this from happening?
