Bitiverse is a free pixel-art MMORPG that runs in a browser tab: one persistent world, shared by everyone, and I build it on my own. It is in open beta right now, while the Steam version is put together.

This week a player built upward and found the second floor came out as a 5x5 stamp on a 12x12 plot. Upstairs is the size of the plot now, and the house kit covers the whole plot in one shell. The same week gave the weather somewhere to be: rain falls where it is actually raining, thunder follows your own tile, and the rain sound stays where you stand.

The world got a little more vertical in other ways. A dungeon's stairs cannot be deleted any more, and the ones already lost are back. Loot no longer strands on a tile nobody could walk to. Bats and harpies fly now, fight riders in the air, and take nothing from a blow aimed at the ground.

159 changes went in this week, 136 of them things a player can notice, across builds 919 to 997.
