Stuck on "Creating Lobby" and connection issues

Having an issue with lobby creation and joining a friend's game- never happened before (prior to update 20) so I'm not sure what's going on right now. When I try to host a game, the tab gets stuck on "creating lobby" and I can't cancel out- apparantly my friend can see the lobby even though it's stuck on my end, but if they try to join it just says the connection failed. If I try to join a game, it simply says that I was unable to connect to the other player as well.

Multiplayer has worked fine prior to this update. I got a new router recently with no ports opened, so I figured I could try opening the ports that the game needs to be played via direct connection but I'm not finding any indication of what ports that are required for the game anywhere (having scoured the menus and the network tab to no avail).

Just wondering if something's up with the servers or if it's an issue that I can attempt to fix myself. I've already checked the FAQ if there was anything I could do but nothing seemed to work or applied to me.

There used to be a multiplayer issue where if the server was having a problem and you tried to create a lobby, it would never create a lobby, and you could never cancel the creation without logging out and back in again. If you're ever having issues check with the in-game chat to see if anyone else is having them as well as that will usually indicate whether the MP server is broken or not. Its unlikely to be on your end.

I just logged in and tested and people were having problems / i was unable to create a server / still cant cancel the creation of multiplayer lobby, so just have to wait for the Devs to reset the server probably. Weirdly enough if you press the log out button after trying to create a server for awhile you can see a list of games. Not sure why they show up -after- you hit the log out button.

Hey, sorry the server was down and the colleague needs to reset it but its pretty late here already and I cant reach him, but it also automatically restarts in intervals

Had problems playing coop today. But late in the afternoon they fixed it for a lot of people. Hope your problems are gone too.
