This is really something related to your hardware / PC
Try start in admin mode also
Well, I'm trying to understand what is the problem, but I doubt it's really with PC, since it's the only game that happens to(for example I never had same problems with Starcraft 2, Witcher 3, Stellaris etc they all consume memory heavily, but I never got any crashes like this and they are working just fine) and PC hardware is fairly new and the drivers for hardware are updated recently too.
Yeah, I start in admin mode everytime I launch the game from icon on desktop, seen no difference unfortunately.
Thanks for quick answer. What else do you think can be the problem?
Can you play with your task manager open and see what happens?
If you need any additional information - please ask away, I'm happy to provide all I can.
Try close background programs, maybe your 6GB run full
UPD: just now was the longest I ever played - 35 min, crashed on start of second boss right after teleport with "Out of memory!". Closed down literally all programs I could and game did run very smooth as always. I just don't get it...
"Memory allocation failed:Attempting to allocate 4325376 bytes" means the program is unable to get the necessary memory it needs.
I have checked the code and in this case it is RAM memory that is not available.
Make sure you actually have 6gb RAM, check Mainboard drivers, run a memory check tool to see if it is corrupted or anything.
4gb should already be more than enough and given that you are the first to report this kind of problem we have to assume that it is something about your setup that is not working correctly.
Let us know if this helps to pin point the issue
First of all - thank you guys very much for quick help, I really appreciate it. I have done all that you suggested(checked and updated drivers, run extended memory check - no errors found) and a lot more other diagnostics and tweaks, but problem still exists. I believe I must add more RAM to PC, because actually I have only 3gb of free RAM while having 6gb, that must be it. I tried to free more RAM so I would have 4Gb to play, but crashed again and got this new message.
Win32 function failed: HRESULT: 0x887a0005
Call: GR_D3D Device->CreateTexture2D at line 710 in file /TexturesM.cpp
Device lost - reason: 0x887a0020
I will upgrade RAM and write back with new topic in case that won't help, but currently - you were exactly right and it's 100% my problem with memory, not with the code or anything. So I'm sorry I bothered you. Hey hey, people, you have created an awesome game!
UPD: ACTUALLY problem was in that I have Intel(R) HD Graphics 630 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050, for some reason game uses first one with 3Gb, not the second one with 5Gb. I'm still unable to launch the game with second graphicscard. But it's my problem nevertheless.
This means that the engine looses contact with your GPU. We heard of cases before where instead of the dedicated the onboard GPU was used so definitely get rid of the slower one (disable in BIOS for example). It may be only that.
3GB RAM free is more than enough.
