Xbox Controller Issues

When I launched the game and enable controller, the right stick inverts, right trigger and left trigger moves the crosshair, and the "start" button fires the weapon.

I've tried multiple times to restart the game, updated controller drivers, and did a reset. Still no luck. Is there a fix for this issue?

Update:

A lot of the controller buttons, instead of being designated as "a" "x" "y" etc, they are designated as something like "Button 32771."

Hey, can you try maybe reset your bindings? This sounds very wrong
Also verify integrity of game cache

There are files for settings and shortcuts you can just delete them

Thanks for the reply! Having a ton of fun with the game otherwise. Great work on the game. :)

I fixed the issue by launching the game in Steam Big Picture mode, and making sure that the controller config in Big Picture was enabled. For some reason, the issue only shows up when launching out of Big Picture. Very strange.

For anyone else experiencing this...

1) Launch Big Picture mode in Steam
2) Go to settings
3) Controller Config
4) Ensure the controller is enabled and the config for Synthetik is set to the default
5) Launch Synthetik in Big Picture

Hey devs! I've never played this game. First time running it and I also was trying to use an xbox controller (works on 100s of other games I play) and the same thing happened to me within this game. Right stick inverted and all buttons are haywire/wrong. It's because xbox controller support needs to be enabled or it needs to be programmed in to prevent this issue. I'd say a friendly reach out to another twin stick shooter developer and they probably have ran into this before in their game. Maybe they will give you a tip/help you out. Thank you for developing/releasing on Steam. You make people's lives better.

Edit: Now FIXED (took 15 seconds and a system restart) I went into BIG PICTURE MODE, clicked controller settings and "check marked" the 2 xbox controller support check boxes, then it asks for a system restart. Works after starting up! Hope this helps you!
