Bruh.
Saw some patch come down last night. Know you all are busy with the present and the future, but as a latecomer, I appreciate you find some time for the past... but if that is what broke my controller config I will be sending you the bill for my therapy.
2024 now lmfao.
No one is asked for a content update. We just want the bugfix for the few annoying bugs, but judging from this post's intention and the time that has passed, it seems like this game is officially abandoned and 26.2 is going to stay in limbo. I was going to check out the sequel, but the way you treat your previous work, I'm definitely staying away from it now.
Hey, S1 got years of free post launch updates and is simply end of life right now. I personally spend thousands of hours of my free time on massive updates in every area of the game. No, S1 was treated extremely well and way better than any sales would let one assume. Game maker was however treated very poorly from Yoyo games, or rather they don't have the size or testing to properly execute.
You can play 26.2 right now by the click of a button but some people have issues with this version so we don't put it live. Yoyo games broke their engine and there are just some issues in all versions and none is really perfect, its just the hard reality of it. If we ever get a breather we do upgrade S1 to their new engine version (which is definitely weeks of work) but that does neither guarantee a reduction in engine issues and will add many new bugs which will need to be fixed first (assuming they are fixable), likely adding in a net gain of about nothing so this is all not ideal.
Ill see if we can get some measurement how many people have an issue with 26.2 and maybe put the other on the testbranch if that sounds ok but likely will then just other people complain.
But why on earth is this beta branch called "beta - 2.3.7" isn't it v26.2?
Its a very confusing naming schema.
Money talks right? I don't know if it CAN be done or should BUT! I propose that the current live branch receives a new DLC of sorts. But it's more like a kicksarter. See how many people are willing to chip in for the original to be sorted out (or at least fund an attempt) Some sort of way for the fans to vote with their wallet. It's a time issue for sure over money but perhaps enough scratch could hire a couple helping hands or something temporarily? Just an idea. Probably a bad one lol
