I hope this is not the end of the life support for this.
I know that the devs are working on with Survivors and I love these types of games, Alien Breed specifically. It's just sad that its not being justified with much replayability content love and had to pull its resources to another.

Indeed, this game has so much potential at its core. Just bought the game because I *LOVE* the ambiance, smooth controls, sound design, art work and overall vibe of the game. Hope Survivors is going to be 'more of the same', with a bit more polish and multiplayer madness.

We are a small team but we do not abandon our titles, it's just that atm. we're stretched thin a bit and must focus our priorites elsewhere :)

If you do come back, please work on first with the controllers because why do I have to use third party programs for the controller to work? Sure, taking a short time to config your setup is a pass for you but in reality its not and is a sign of unfinished work.

A plug-and-play feature is a must for a split-screen enabled coop game especially if you are using PS4 controllers and being able to select which side of the role you want to be alongside with keyboard and mouse.

They scrapped Survivors, unfortunately. They're making The Red Solstice 2 instead, which means they're going back to the rts-esque controls and gameplay from the original The Red Solstice.

I'm honestly quite dissapointed by that.

There was a 2.7 gig update. No idea what it did.

As a Fig backer, the ultimate disappointment to me about MIA was never about presentation -- graphics, animations, music, sound FX, were all quite awesome -- it's just the lack of any interesting diversity in AI enemy attacks/behavior and a general lack of interesting objectives on most campaign levels kept tthe game from having much in the way of enjoyable replayability.

It's only fun so much for everything to run screaming directly at you in a twin stick shooter. As opposed to stopping and firing from range, or them using some simple tactics on you. I kept thinking some update would add something along those lines, but it never changed. You'd just get swarmed on every level like a walking pot of honey in a cave of hungry bears. :D

I'm not really interested in more Solstice Chronicles -- which essentially controlled/played more like a good Starcraft RTS Mod, not a twin-stick shooter -- but I guess ultimately I don't blame them for returning to their Roots.

It was a first for them in twin stick shooters, and stand pretty well. It also adds its own style, which sets it apart from most twin stick games. All of their(Ironward) games still get support, but it is a small team with 3 projects going. After having over 200 hours in this game, i don't have many issues with it at all to feel negative towards it. More content would be nice, but everything else is good. Hell I play only at max threat, vet diff. (Even though i've done MERCS diff on everything).
