I'm enjoying a fresh start actually. They've changed a lot of stuff so starting again from beginning, try out different things. Once I've maxed out a character it kind of feels "finished", nothing else to do with it then, so play through again from scratch. I might not want to do it many more times in future but it's giving it some extra life in that respect. Also might add it seems quite more challenging than it was before .. watch out in those secret teleporter rooms with the sorcerors lol
It's a pain in the arse trying to get trait unlocks for ancient artifacts when you have to complete mission 4 levels higher than you or kill billion enemies of certain type on your level or higher.
Having to raise mission level with uther's tarot is also stupid since it takes forever to gain tarot card upgrades with all the RNG, people lose interest in your game before they manage to upgrade their cards to max, and it's gets even more impossible with max level characters.
Also having to grind your way up VC's and hoping that there's certain enemies at certain lvl is also BS
Game just isn't paced fast enough to have a d3 style season to it, which in itself has always been a pretty bland attempt to push folk into a flavour of the month style gear set. I think they eventually decided to do some gimmicky buffs or boosts thing but from what I gather it is still basically the stagnant rift running. And I'm not going to suggest that martyr should be sped up from where it currently is.
Pacing wise a PoE style season might have been a better way to go, although the 40k setting probably limits what mechanics could be put into the game for a season.
