Abandoned Game on the 30th January??
I have been toying with buying this game this week, BUT.

The understanding that this is now the last season that will be ending on the 18th, to then on the 30th give access to all seasons to play as you like gives me a gut feeling that this will be the end for any future development for the game. Therefore the price tag is way over the mark.
Not saying this will happen at all just a little strange to stop the seasons, give access to all saying there will be no more.

The game has had years of free updates, paid updates, seasons ect. Less being abandoned and more the dev moving on to new games.

But they are making all previous seasons, their bonuses and items, available again to everyone forever, making it a choice upon character selection. They are also working on a fully offline mode to come after it along with some other things, though that's all that's been teased.

It's a phenomenal game by a fantastic developer, I'd say it's WELL worth the asking price.

The devs stated that they have more content, that isn't seasons, in the pipeline.

Heck if I have to rebuy it all for offline mode. I would. Since this is the only warhammer 40k arpg game out there right?

Any clues as of what. Fingers crossed but highly doubt all of factions from dawn of war franchises and more.
Would be cool to kill some orcs and other races. Pesky Tau too or heck imagine to be able to trade with Tau for like insane ranged gear and trade with other races for the emperor for awesome melee weapons.

It sounds like a bit of a "sunset" but the fact they making all seasons available is just a great way to do it imo. For the price you can get it for now I would highly recommend this purchase. If you like this style of game and the WH universe you can't go wrong. There are hundreds if not thousands of hours of gameplay after Jan 30th. Many of the so-called AAA studios could really learn from these people. Bravo Neocore!

Thanks for the comments. I think I will now I have found the collectors edition for sub 15£, that makes it worth a go at that price even if not much more comes afterwards.

Inquisitors,

Hope you all had a great holiday season, had time to play some video games and also found time to purge some heretics. Let's jump into the new year with some fresh news about Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr, straight from the Emperor's Throne Room.

Season of Malediction will end on January 18 and this will mark the beginning of a new era on PC, more precisely on January 30. The current Season was the final one and it will be followed by something really special, called the Seasonal Journey.

The Seasonal Journey is the culmination of all the work of past years and all the free updates we've added to the game. This new feature will make all seven previously released Seasons available at the same time for everyone (for free of course). You'll be able to pick a Season on the character creation screen. From the very first fire-centric Season of Inferno to the most recent ones and create a Seasonal character for that particular Season.

Watch the trailer for Seasonal Journey here!

All Seasonal features, all Season specific items, all unique abilities and Seasonal objectives will be in the game again, this time permanently. Joined the community at a later stage and missed one of the earlier Seasons or had a really favorite build during one of the past Seasons? Now here's the chance to experience it for the first time or to return to it once again. Check out our Compendium for more details on these Seasons!

As a reminder, the previously announced offline mode, as promised, is coming soon. The Seasonal Journey can also be considered a kind of preparation for the offline mode with all past content made available. And the journey will definitely continue after this as we have some really cool surprises left for Martyr still!

As always:

The Emperor protects!

lol how do people not understand the difference between finished and abandoned.

this game is completed and finished, not abandoned.

Heck even "finished" games for playstation 1 were full of bugs.

its worth the money even with it going offline. even at full price.

The game is fantastic to play if they don't do one more thing. As was said earlier the game is finished. Getting all 7 seasons to play gives you more gameplay than you can imagine. Going offline just means it's yours forever. It will run perfectly or these guys will fix it

I hope we will see more maps, there are lots of factions but barely any maps or random generation > At least a little to spice things up.

Apologies to OP. I thought this was another doom and gloom post, so I said something snippy.

Buy the game, OP. It's worth it.
