You're right. My original plan had been using five Cataphrons to level up but then switching over to four Castelan Robots as soon as I have the right equipment to do so. But this won't happen now because there is absolutely no way I will take the time to upgrade four new weapons (those of the Castelans) to level 100. I now have the Phosphor Blaster and Grav Cannon for my Cataphrons on 100, and those will be the last ones.
Or, like Ribbles suggested, a way to reset them would be great, too!
often i wish i could just use mission modifiers to give me more fragments instead of xp to not outlevel my own summons.
The easiest solution for the weapon switching issue would be to link the tech fragments to constructs' weapon slots, not to the weapons themselves. It would not fix the excessive grind, but it would at least unblock the use of alternative weapons for experimenting.
I really did like the game but I hesitate to drop another 50+ hrs into it if this is still an issue.
