offline mode - what?
From what I can see, you have to have Steam in online mode to run the game itself in offline mode. How dumb is that?
And to activate offline mode, I found a post that cleared it up for me - if you right click on Steam logo, then this game, you can select it. How very unclear. :steamfacepalm:
And it looks like you have to do that every game session, unless you choose the option to "always play offline", which I didn't want to do

Sorry what? This is how you turn on offline mode?! This is indeed stupid :/ Thank you so much anyway, I was never going to find it myself....

Not sure what you are on about.
When I press the start button the prompt comes up every time.
This is very common practice on steam.

For some reason it's not working in this way for me. If I simply click on game icon it's always load online mode (without option to set offline mode).

Same here. If I rghtclick the Steam Icon and select this game, then the popup for online / offline will shoiw, otherwise it won´t. Not exactly what I call convenient, but well, we will manage.

Weird. When I start the Game a Box appears asking me if I want Online or Offline.

try right-clicking the game in your library and select properties.
Under Launch options select "Ask when launching".

Me too. But the method of accessing it is ridiculous and totally unclear, if you read my posts. It also looks like it isn't the same for everyone

If I play this game online and suddenly lose connection will my progress get saved locally or not?

If you play online and lose connection your current mission will abort and your character will be reset to before the mission started, incl. your inventory.

Its not made the best way but damn you guys are just complaining, how is anything unclear? When you press play it asks you" PLAY ONLINE or PLAY OFFLINE" How much more CLEAR do you wnat it to BE lol. I mean ideal would be like in wolcen when you enter the game you choose it from the menu but this is fine too.

Sounds like a you issue then because 700 people managed to figure it out.

No need to be Rude. Its pretty clear that for some it appears to be Bugged. We just have to wait till next week to hear if it can be fixed. Everyone just needs to calm down and give them time to see if any of these current issues can be fixed.
