What is good about the Crusader?

Hello.

So I have played all classes for some time and for the life of me I can not find any good points about the Crusader (besides style etc).
No matter how I look at it the other classes are just better, most noteably the Sin.
Please understand I'm not saying you can not make a viable end game build with a Sader, for sure you can but he feels so lacking.

His armor skills are a joke compared to the Sin and the Psyker.
His damage is average at best and many of his special weapons are... less than amazing.
His mobility is subpar.
He has great defense but in arpg's that doesn't count for much (for better or worse depending who you ask).

Every time I make a new Crusader build I think the Sin would do it better.
So what is good about the Crusader?

Each class has plusses and minuses.

First, Psyker was the OP king. Right now, Tech Adept is.

Crusader is middle of the road. Excellent survival, not as good damage or decent damage and lousy survival. He cannot out-damage Tech Adept or Pskyer, but he lives longer if enemies get close.

That said? There are incredible builds for him. RIght now, I am playing the Shock and Awe 1h Axe Crusader and melting everything I find. He doesn't die. Period.

@Kalenath i havnt played Tech Adept at all yet cause i found him very underwelming, do u have a build link or anything so i can try him out again/.

My first impression of the Crusader is a straightforward kit that is friendly to new players. Armor skills all directly help kill things. Heavy weapons provide lots of AoE or armor break even on short cooldown skills. I bounced off the assassin when I tried it early on. Never found an equipment set I really liked. Maybe I'd do better trying again now that I have a better idea what I need to do.

Having saved the assassin for dead last, I'm wondering the same thing about her. What is the point? Guess it just matters where you started.

Funny. Every build I have seen for him, at anything above +5 Tech Adept dies in 3 shots at most if enemies get close or get around his bots somehow.

A full deflect, shield Crusader doesn't die if you build him right. Mine isn't even well optimized and I run +15 missions without a problem. It is hilarious watching Impalers and other big nasties try to melee him and just melt. But what the hell do 'I' know? I am only playing him exclusively this season so I clearly know nothing about him.

FYI- I did Tech Adept last season and found him quite powerful UNTIL enemies get past his bots or jump over them or teleport or whatever. Then he dies.

I regularly run higher than +5 on my TA. It is true you have to be careful and keep moving though. Having said that I would be interested in trying a Shield Crusader Build. Did you follow a guide or just do it all yourself?

Sorry if I seemed defensive, I have been getting a lot of um... less than intelligent responses to posts online recently. The 'you are wrong because I say so!' posts with no reasons or explanations kind get really old.

its a high level build. You need 2 good psalm codes for it. I played basic flamer crusader until @ 85, then I had all the bits I needed for him. Yes, you will want to keep moving, keep killing things,but you dive into a mob, kill one small one and everything else dies...
