They then enter the Prophecy campaign which is basically the second half of the story.
If a non-TA character has progressed their campaign to the point (finished Martyr chapter 5) they can continue the story together.
TAs can't join on story missions prior to that point, meaning the MArtyr campaign is unavailable to them even in coop.
Yeah, I've scoured the internet for more info coz tbh this is usually explained in a very convoluted way - cheers for putting it blunt and simple btw.
