Radical/Puritan skills
Everyone kinds of disregard these skills for some reasons... Especially Radical skills, which have exceptionally cost-effective damage buff and useful for almost every build.

Blood Focus: straight up +5% damage as long as you get hit, which is... always. Tell me which other skill gives 5% damage for 1 skill point with 0 prerequisite?

Soul Harvest Ritual: Another ridiculously efficient skill, even more so than Blood Focus. Kill something. ANYTHING, and you get free AT LEAST 10 critical Strength. The ENTIRE critical tree gives you 10 critical strength in TOTAL. Are you serious?

Oblationist Penance: 3% chance to reflect an incoming attack back to the attacker. This is basically a dodge/deflect but with an extra effect of dealing damage back to the attacker. Much better than you think.

Radical Istvaanism: another 1 point wonder fits extremely well with popular crusader tank build these days, who try to stay under 50% hp most of the time Crisis Management combo.

Warp Adaption: I hate psyker mobs and bosses. This helps a lot against them. Better than a 20% Warp Resist.

Forbidden Knowledge: MOAR damage. Reward you for being in love with the radical god.

Touched by the Empyrean: free damage for Psyker. But seeing that we will have Demonforge and Enchantments, I assume we will warp damage enchant on our weapons, which will make this skill extremely useful as well. Edit: Now that I think about it, this skill combo EXTREMELY well with Warp Adaption. The lower your warp resistance is, the more you get healed from Warp adaptation.

Puritan tree seems way more situational though targeting daemons and Chaos. Maybe there are a lot of them in warzone? Have to wait and see.

The sad truth is that Radical is blatantly inferior to Puritan. Even for the Psyker who, thematically, should benefit greatly from it.

Puritan has Warp Resist AND 20% more damage to Daemons; two things that on their own are far more better than the entire Radical tree combined for the Psyker.

Also, you're wrong in that the Puritan tree is situationa. Far from it. For example the Hater skill seems to affect every single enemy in the game.

Allow me to respond.

Only lasts one second, and most ranged classes kill everything withot getting hit much.

1. No one has been able to figure out how crit strength works, although it still wouldn't be horrible except...
2. This is a self buff. Currently buffs are removed by any and all suppression related effects applied to your character(stun, knockdown, slow, etc).

Oblationist Penance: 3% chance to reflect an incoming attack back to the attacker. This is basically a dodge/deflect but with an extra effect of dealing damage back to the attacker. Much better than you think.
Most non-crusaders are not getting hit that much. Most crusaders are pretty much invincible already. The difference made by the damage reflect will be exceedingly minor, since most enemies are killed in one hit anyway.

Radical Istvaanism: another 1 point wonder fits extremely well with popular crusader tank build these days, who try to stay under 50% hp most of the time Crisis Management combo.
This is a good one. I took it. So far as I can tell it doesn't actually work.

Warp Adaption: I hate psyker mobs and bosses. This helps a lot against them. Better than a 20% Warp Resist.
Not bad, but not really needed either.

Forbidden Knowledge: MOAR damage. Reward you for being in love with the radical god.
Would be great if the other talents were worth taking.

Touched by the Empyrean: free damage for Psyker. But seeing that we will have Demonforge and Enchantments, I assume we will warp damage enchant on our weapons, which will make this skill extremely useful as well.
Might be good later.

If it also works against warp anomalies, Psykers can basically stand on the anomalies and get the "Scourged by the Warp" Heroic Deed without dying. And if your warp res is low (for Purtians), 20% of it wont add much --but +5% dmg for 3s. Otherwise it's good against Psychic mobs.
