Something really nice with carthean sword is the ability to cleave with a poison DoT. Three points in the DoT tree after, you have a nice -20% damage in AoE.

Only level 30 at the moment, but i'm having a blast running with a melta guna and longlas rifle. going heat specialist and sniper and crit build. also got perk which resets cooldown on sniper with kill. very handy :)

Cathean Blade and Exitor rifle. Only ever use the rifle when i fancy a change from swishy murder.

Ok, well, seems to be the same as crusader then. At least at 31 without the heat tree, mele is just to good to pass up. So i wont bother with assassin, was looking for something other than mele for an alt and it looks like it would have to be the caster guy.

I cant get into the Carthean sword, it feels so clunky compared to the power sword. All the power sword skills flow well together and you have amazing gap closer abilites. It is also far easier to maintain the damage reduction debuff from 3pts in the DoT tree. Plus, flippetty-flopping and dashing all across a map makes getting from A to B quick business.

With decoy armor it doesnt take long before you can stun lock an enemy or slow them down severely with your shock/stun from the power sword.
