Space Marines as a playable character
Hi,

is there any chance that Space Marine will be playable character in this game (own story line) in the future, since the name of the game is Inquisitor Martyr?

Thank you guys

No. Inqusitors are not Astartes (Space Marines) and cannot become Space Marines.

If they really stretch it there is the possibility for Grey Knights, but that is if they stretch it very far.

Yes, I was only curious because Inqusitors are not mine cup of tee in W40K lore. So Im waiting for similar game genre with playable space marines.

I think it would -lorewise- be unlikely for a techpriest to become an inqisitor. It would mean mixed loaylity between the inquisition and the mechanicum. But well... why not - altough there would be other backgrounds, i could think of more easily.

there are theories that Marines can become Inquisitors and as far as the lore goes they could...like anyone else. some think Titus might've joined their ranks, others say he joined the Deathwatch. Then there's another Inquisitor who is by all but name an Adeptus Astartes (size, looks, demeanor)...can't remember the name.
but i doubt GW would let that happen in a game currently, especialy with the 40K lore progressing.

but i'd love to see retinues perhaps including some Marines (like henchmen in Diablo2)

highly unlikely - due to the inherent different biology and psychology a space marine would do terrible as an inquisitor.
inquisitors must know how to invoke, measure and use fear and the concept of fear is unknown to space marines or at least they are so brainwashed to not recognize what or how fear is.
however they can become chaplains afaik

there's a lore-conform story about an Inquisitor of un-named origin(but it is implied that he was a Space Wolf) going undercover in an Adeptus Astartes Chapter. And again that's not the only one known in the lore.
Again anyone can become an Inquisitor and that does mean anyone if approved by 3 others or a Lord Inquisitor.
