Martyr 3 Machine Spirit mission defend the data sanctum for omicron not beatable
Hi, i have played through the game with a tank and had no problems. No i played again after the patch 2 change and made a new assassin charakter. I cannot beat the mission in the title. i can beat easy wave 1-3 but in wave 4 or 5 i die always ebcause enemies make such much damage on omicron that he dies in only a few seconds. I tried it several times and now my char is level 50. i ahd since that on other missions also defending goals with no problems but in this mission i am not able to beat it.

Thanks, I'll check this mission tomorrow and adjust it if necessary.

You've said this in my various posts about the difficulty of this mission yet nothing has changed. It is still unbeatable by Wave 4 and especially 5 as a Ranged Crusader.
Some have claimed it as easy, yet I have played this mission over a dozen times with various mind resets for techs and builds for the Crusader. IT IS UNWINNABLE!

Martyr Chapter 3 needs massive overhhaul.

If it's mission called Invader's of the Martyr then yeah it feels extremely difficult at level 50, not sure if it's easier at lower level as per say. But watching others play it looks like it's less difficult at lower levels, would not surprise if it's not because enemies scale and numbers while the Omnicron you gotta defend doesn't get more durable and you're not handed more defense resources like Tarantula turrets for instance.

Can only picture how hard it is to do for melee build or combo melee/range built like for instance power sword and autopistol/bolt pistol.

I have re-played The Martyr: Chapter 3 - The Machine Spirit over a dozen times now and cannot get past Wave 3 without either myself or the Omicroni Adepet dying by early Stage 4. I've raised this issue before, had many suggestions but am still stuck on this mission.

I have tried with the Crusader (using Sentinel and both other armours), have reset my Skill Trees three times and have outfitted my Crusader with everything from Boltgun, Heavy Bolter ant Grav Gun. Nothing works. Mission fails for above reasons (overwhelming waves of OP creatures, mini bosses and bosses). Universal drops don't help a whit.

Just cannot win the mission no matter that. Devs have said they will look at the balance of the mission since first reporting it, but nothing has changed since 2.0 went live.

I realise some have said it is easy (don't know how - and don't need that response here)) but have continually failed since it was a White Mission and is now Low Level Green (along with my rise in rank now 49).

What can be done? Obviously the Devs have not looked at re-balancing. When, oh when will this mission be looked at?

Indeed this mission is horribly unbalanced. There's a couple of elite pricks around here who come in everytime someone complains about this mission and say - this missions is very easy if you use this build or that build - here's a hint you idiots - this is the campaign not the end game - every mission in a campaign in any decently built RPG should be doable with almost any build a player wants to experiment with - because WTF is the point of having multiple builds in a RPG if you need a specific 1 or 2 just to finish a stupid campaign mission. This game feels like it's taking simple as ♥♥♥♥ game design principles and turns them into undiscovered amazing ideas. This mission and every other defend mission in this game - because if you find this one to be hard for many builds wait till you have to defend a stupid cogitator in a later chapter - needs a fken rebalance for any sort of build - maybe i want to play a shield and sword built with less mobility than the 2h axe built, or maybe i wanna play a shield and pistil build - again with less mobility than most builds - that's the damn point of a stupid RPG - being able to play my way - RPG stands for role playing game - but in so many cases Martyr should be called 1BPG - 1 build playable game. And people have been complaining about this crap since last fken year and they still didn't do crap about it - but i guess they just need more feedback like with the character slots number.

Not going in here to say it doesn't need balancing because if it is one I remember I think it and Invaders at the Martyr need some balancing especially for level scaling. But if you have not tried it I would probably try get hold of autogun(using Rmb or Lmb) and sentinel armor so you tarantula turret on armor skill, maybe get deflector shield too. In my personally opinion when you meet unarmoredor very light armored enemies Autogun is one better choices, since it fire doesn't get blocked by corpses and obstacles nearly as much at boltgun and heavybolter does. Heavy bolter is god awful unless you have clear shooting path since the bullet hit any minor objects and clutter in way like corpses of enemies you kill, it is great however for armoured enemies because the armor peircing on it, less you go with heat weapons.

Would you check some them with melee specced builds, because Invaders of the martyr at 50lvl is extremely tough even on story mode with range. I can't help but imagine how hard it would be with melee or semi specced builds.

Tried the autogun and Sentinel Armour, as I said. Have tried all weapons. It just cannot be done and shouldn't be this difficult (darn impossible more like).

Have you tried the gravity gun? I found it really efficients on hords or to slow down large targets. It unlock at Lvl 20 on my crusader.
SLMEPHI[GER] Jul 31, 2019 @ 10:14am
I played the mission with a crusader with an armor which can spawn 5 tarantula guns. With this 5 and the 2 of the mission I had 7 and it was extreme easy. Now with my assassin I have no chance. They always kill the omicron on wave 4 or 5 very fast. I think it depends of the class based skills of armor and others if the mission is easy or impossible but it should be normal to beat with every class. There are 2 possibilities.
1. Make the mission much easier
2. Give the missions a max lvl after which they don't get more difficult anymore to get sure everyone can beat it earlier or later

As an initial White Mission the huge numbers in the three different waves are insurmountable by Wave 3-4 and these waves need to be culled to at least give the gamer a fighting chance. Never had a sentinel armour that had so many deployable Tarantulas, but even so in this final 5 level showdown you can only use 4 key (Tarantula, rockets etc once, sometimes twice and that's it). All you have are the deployables, which don't last past Wave 3 and then two waves of insanely OP Bosses and mini-bisses. Droves of them from three different directions. I have used ALL weapons, armours and tech trees. Nothing works.
It just cannot be completed.
SLMEPHI[GER] Jul 31, 2019 @ 11:31am
i have only beaten it with this tactic but like i said withg the assassin i cannot beat it. also i have beaten it longer ago witht he crusader, eventually there it wasn't broken like now
SLMEPHI[GER] Jul 31, 2019 @ 11:37am
Ok, after the last patch i played now again and have beaten it . i don't know if they have changed something but now i got 2 extra tarantulas in the last wave i never had before and there were nearly only normal enemies, only about 5 strong enemies. Eventually they have fixed it or they rebalanced it or it is bugged and most time there are spawning bugged overpowered enemies
