Will there ever be a point to executions / the execution skill tree?
The only thing I do to gear with an execution bonus is instantly re-roll it. Is there some secret long term roadmap with executions and making them not worthless that I don't know about?

I've just been playing as a ranged light weapon Crusader, I'm assuming it's like every other RPG where I should be dumping points into crit and physical damage (using an autogun). I always assumed executions were just those silly cutscenes where you jump on a dude with a melee weapon and stab him in the face and it takes six hours for the stupid cutscene to end.

Or you can turn them off in the options

I'm aware. I was explaining what I thought executions were, and it was far easier to use my description.

Well, executiosn ar ekidn of a mixed bag atm.

Rnaged executions just flat otu don#t work currently. So yes, if you are rnaged, there#s absolutely no reason to spec into the execution tree currently.

That said, for melee (especialy for saders), it can be quite good. You can easily get your execute chance to 15-30%+ with the tree and some bonuses, and while the execute bonus itself isn#t to great, there's a bunch of VERY good stuff in the tree for it, mainly these two:

You can spec that enemies loose half their supression when there's an execution nearby, and I've had it happen plenty of times that I jumped into melee aorund a boss/villain, fired of the usual loong-cd aoe's and got 2 executions form that. 2 seconds into the fight i could stunlock the boss.

The second think is you can spec that you gain 10% of oyur supression and 30% of your hp (20 for assasin and psyker) on execution, giving you a hughe survivability bonus.

So yes, it can be worth it to go for execution when melee, though it#s not a 'so good oyu have to pick it' thing liek the cirt tree.

Two out the 4 class don't even have access to the skill tree and it has been historically the most unpopular. And now it's the only skill tree to have representation on gear. Moronic.

This is what they do tho. Don't like our dots? Well here is a ton of dot related enchants nobody asked for or wants. Don't like weapon spread? Keep adding more items that reduce weapon spread. So many people dislike my execution tree, I'll just keep adding more and more enchants till they have to like it, I'll show em. Everyone is ignoring the suppression mechanic, Lets have dots that attack suppression! win win.

It's the same pattern for every big issue. Silence on topic, all helpful, good ideas for improvement ignored. Never change base foundation of skill/item/perk/whatever. That's like admitting your wrong. Just keep adding to it, building it up from the outside. It's a trip.

Anyways, executions where never bad, just not worth the investment vs other options and when not having the buff up all your invested points n perks where doing nothing for you.

Now with 100% crit being more manageable and execution chance based off crit you can get a impressive amount of buffs going. And of course if you start getting as many of the new exc gear enchants that seem to be on most everything. I imagine really good.

Just combine the 2 perks into the skill tree, have the exc be auto instead of having to press a key and tons of people will try and most likely enjoy your tree. It's all you have ever had to do.

Yeah, I've kinda enjoyed playing DoT and causing X affliction if Y affliction is present, then seeing all the random icons stack and float over every enemy's head. I'm kind of a simpleton though.

Stacking debuffs is the current win. Keep it up.

I think a few points is quite worth.
Take until the recover HP per execution.
Also, the critical can convert to execution can earn you a lot free hp gain mid combat
