Any class can slaughter the game.
A lot of people have noted in other threads that the Tech Fragment limitation makes it hard to keep multiple weapons configurations up to level with your character. At least until you max out at 100 and can start to catch up the ones that are lagging behind. I've found that switching construct configuration mid-stream leaves your weapons perpetually behind your base level as the growth curve is pretty steep, and you can't refund the fragments once they've been invested.
Again, you can catch up in the end game, but in the meantime you have to be pretty choosy. It's much easier to change Psyker power focus than Construct weapons config. Same with the Crusader, save the three perks you can't respec with a Mind Thingy (the name escapes me pre-coffee).
Pick a weapon for the pets. max the weapon for the pet. beat the game.
You're imagining doing something detrimental and than saying the class is bad because you did that thing.
Promethium bro Crusader is just walk and melt everything. Its the easiest and most reliable class/wep combo ive tried. Is it the most fun, not really. I'm partial to Psyker anything for fun factor.
