PS4 - Awesome WH-Game but Crash after some missions

Hi Devs,

Thanks for PS4 Version, i am a lazy Couchplayer and i like
the WH-Games very much.
This game is great but sometimes i finished a mission it
crashes (PS4 Bluescreen with CE-Error) before teleporting
return to my ship and lost my loot.

Using a normal PS4 or a PRO?

Also, does it happen frequently or after long sessions or does it seem completly random?

I own both, and the diffrence in preformance and issues is huge.

In fact unless you own a PRO I would be carefull when playing this game. It takes quite a toll on your hardware and will age your console rather fast.

Having said that, I actually never experianced a hard crash.

A good start would be reinstalling the game. It may have gotten corrupted.

@Stronke. Interesting. In what ways do the games differ, please? I have a base PS4 and the game is on offer right now (PS Store). Do you think 45 Euro for the Imperium Edition is an acceptable price? Or better wait until it drops more and performenace is enhanced?

I have a PS4 Pro and it crashes around playing 2-3 hours.
I get a bluescreen with Error-Message and have to restart game.

It doesnt matter change the PS4 Pro Videosettings to 1080p, Automatic or 4k.
Also ingame settings 1080p or 1440p doesnt help.

Maybe its the Console/Video-Cache or something else?

My biggest issue on the regular PS4 is the low frame rates and the fact that even while idling in the main menu the hardware runs at 100%.

Im not sure if its the optimisation but since on the PRO you dont experiance it that much I just think its to taxing. Not sure why as I have better looking games that need to render more and its not a issue.

See thats why I asked. when I played I played for 2 hour max. Often not more then a hour a half. Like I mentioned earlier I have big issues with the way the game taxes the console, and I was to paranoid to play longer then that.

It could be that its to much, but since you are on a PRO I doubt thats the case. Does your PRO make a lot of noise during missions, as if the fan is blowing at max capacity to keep the system cool?

Also are you doing story missions, repeateble content or does that not matter and it happens when doing both?

Is your PRO old and have your tried to redownload and reinstall the game? Also make sure you try a new character/save.

I have my Pro since FEB 2017 and runs great.
The coolingsystem is ok, the console has lot space on table and
the noise of the fan is normal.
Only God of War or Uncharted 4 with 4k support the fan was blowing
like a turbine. LoL

I also play games 2-3 hours and then take a break.
Today the Game (WH) runs without errors.
Maybe the problem was the last weekend, because the Pro
was most of time (at night) in standby and do downloads in background.

Framerate seems stable too in Game. (1440p)

I thinks its better i have an eye for the clock playing WH and
do a pause for some minutes every ~2 hours.

The PS4 has bluescreens? I always thought they run Linux. Out of curiosity - what's the OS on a PS? :)

There have been a couple of crashes which occurred during missions - mainly during the Viper's Nest and The Doomed City missions - which have been fixed internally and we will push the changes live with the next patch soon!

There you go OP.

Like I said, playing on a PRO should of been fine and you shouldent worry about long sessions.

I tend to have a policy that if the console gets louder then the audio of the game I take caution when playing especially if the strain is constant.
