[Lore] Space Marines in this game
This is more or less just me being a massive nerd about the 40k Universe, so feel free to ignore.

Am I the only one that feels the Space Marine opponents in this game are a bit of a joke? If you think about it, it's playing in the 40k Universe, not Horus Heressy, which makes this even more apparent. The Traitor Marines one encounters never feel like an Astartes, they're always just a normal enemy with a bit more hitpoints.

If you follow the books, Inquisitors are definitely some of the more dangerous human beings in the 40k universe, but a Space Marine will always poop all over them. The only way inquisitors realistically stand a chance versus Space Marines is when they use some kind of xeno tech artifacts.

Here you have "Word Bearer Champions" that you mow down in melee range, it just feels a bit weird. I think Traitor Marines should only be used as bosses, especially taking how rare they are in the 40k universe.

True, one also fights dreadnaughts and Leman Russ tanks and whatnot, but that's a different topic alltogether ;)

Genestealer rip terminator power armor apart with not effort. A Genestealer cult would fit nicely into the world, but they are formidable enemies in the warhammer 40k universe.

Hm, depends. Purestrain Genestealers, yes. But most genestealer cults don#t have that many purstrains, msot are in-between mutants, so IMO cults would fit in perfectly fine with this setting.

the only 40k game ive played that has spacemarines as powerfull as thay are in lore is WH 40k spacemarine and in that you'r the only non chaosmarine that can die. in tabletop lasguns can take out marines in term armor, so this isent the most out worldish.

The Dawn of War series is also quite close to table top, actually most of its ruleset is directly derived from the codexes.
