Endgame gear and armor looks
Hi,
i was wondering if there is any change in endgame gear in comparison to the items you get during level 1-50.
Are there any items with special looks or visual effects which you can hunt for. Are there any item sets to chase which supplement each other visually?
I am trying to find any motivation why to play "The Endgame" besides seeing high number in damage or credit balance

There's a lot of content here, just hardly any of it is worth or relevant or practical. In my eyes anyway. You can do the stuff you could end game even at level 50, so why bother?

No, haven't found any sick looking armor either. I've been wearing the same thing for 40 levels or so, only really changed looks once or twice?

This is one of the problems with the game...end-game looks identical to early-game. The only difference is the numbers (eg, green difficulty vs red). If you don't have a desire to "conquer" the game, then there's no real point in playing once you get bored of the content.

A new look of the armor wouldn't bring me back to the game - the new seasons does! There I can try to get a good rank in the hall of heroes and the high difficulties are great. Level 110 missions without dying to get the season done is much more than a cute armor.

I wasn't talking about armors. I was talking about the entire game. What you experience early on is virtually the same as what you experience in the end (when doing the hardest content).

Seasons don't really change anything.

OK, the one with the armor wasn't you, sorry. Since I heard it I see Fortnite-Players everywhere. :BL3Thumbsdown:

You are right, the game is very much grinding, but it's difficult to pack a game full with new stuff for every hour. For the Seasons I needed 224h and 122h, so from start to endgame it's between these times. If you wan't all the time new stuff you can't afford such a game. When you look at the great shooters they get shorter with every new game. That is a complete other way. You could say make it shorter to get to endgame early and play with the skills to get the best out of your character. But is that better? I like it as it is. :spazwinky:

I think the fact that the skills (the Sin and Sader ones, anyway) are linked to the items is what makes the game feel "samey" and limited, no matter your level or progression.

Maybe Neocore had to do this because of legal reasons.

Thanks a lot for your comments, i really appreciate your effort. It helped me to make a decisions. While the game is by no means bad. I liked the hours i dumped into it. It is probably not wise for me to grind through all the progression.

I would have bought a Expansion/DLC which would have changed the armor content or ads some sets/etc. But since that is not available i will also not purchase any other expansion. Cosmetics in such a game are important for me. I hope you all do continue to enjoy the game in the future.

One doesn't need to be a Fortnite player to want awesome-looking kit. It's kind of a staple of ARPGs (and RPGs in general) to have BiS gear that looks unique, and for a high-level character to look better than a freshly rolled char still in the murder hobo stage.

I agree with you completely on this, which is why I find it hard to pick up this game again, even though I genuinely enjoy the 40K setting. I don't think it was legal reasons as much as a simple lack of creativity on the part of the development team. This isn't to say that Inquisitor: Martyr is a bad game, but take away the 40K licence and it wouldn't be anything remarkable.

That said, I am tempted to reinstall it as it is a decent time-waster.

Is there really a point to any game? The beginning and the end... Would you like a "Hello Kitty" suit of armor look all pink and shiney? I kinda get your complaint, its a grueling grind, but is a suit of pretty fashion armour going to suit your fancy long term?

IMO use CA Total War Warhammer 2 as your time waster, so much more entertaining, this game is ... "OK"

After someone writing about the psyker is overpowered, I took my level 51 psyker and got it to level 91 by now. It's a different char in all the grind and I think when he reaches level 100, I will concentrate on other games. Beside Inquisitor I played Desperados 3. Of Total War I played Warhammer 1 and bought but not played 2.

There are so many games...
