How are the cosmetics?

I've looked and I just cannot find the answer I'm looking for.

From what I understand, there are 3 main classes with I think 3 subclasses each. How are the cosmetics / customization options for them? Like how many are there for each class? Are there only like 4 armor models with stat differences or do most of the suits you pick up look unique? Can I apply a skin I like to a new armor? And are armors based on slots like head, chest, gloves, etc or is the whole suit just one item?

I don't know why but I just can't shake the impression that 80% of the armors in this game all look the same or very similar.

there are 4 main classes, I just got the game myself and I can safely say that yeah there are good cosmetics that you can change, from what i've seen so far (barely mission 3) you have access to all the weapons the other subclasses start with and you can get their armours(i think but not sure) along with other types that you dont start with.
your base human skin though is not customisable
and no its not piece by piece its whole suit for the general cosmetics but you have quite a few things you can swap out from what ive seen

the main classes are crusaders (heavy armour and cool stuff)
assassin (snipers? boring)
psyker (aoe i think? they also get a dude with boltpistol and a staff but it looks aoe and melee for the rest)
and mechanicus (coolest - robots, lasers and beep boop)

I have to add that the Psyker will receive a bigger overhaul in the coming period, making the class even more viable than it is now. :)

The psyker overhaul is planned for season 4 as far as I know.
Season 4 is currently scheduled for mid of December.

No worries , I'll elaborate slightly

There are some Okay looking 'stuff' - Depending on what you like
But it's mostly bland - and much of it looks - not very good or even ridiculous.
