Question on saving games progress
I was wondering if anyone could comment on how saving in this game works. Are you able to save at any time, or must you clear an instance/hit a checkpoint to save? Curious since I cannot always play for too long, and being able to save and quit at any time would be great.

My understanding is that once you finish a mission the progress will save and that outside of the mission the game will save any change to your character (for example buying and item) automatically

Ah, thanks guys; was hoping to be able to save at any time, but seems that is not the case.

The server rretains some knowledge of your active mission. If you crash out or intentionally Alt-f4 your given the option of rejoining the mission where you left it. This assumes that no-one else complete the mission in your absence (co-op). I don't know how long the server keeps your information in this manner though and its probably not to be relied on as a longterm practice.

If single player does it indefinitely retain current progress? Thanks for further input too.

I doubt it, even in Sp one is playing via online servers. I don't know how long servers retain information relating to individual missions, never tested it beyond a few minutes.

Thanks for clearing that up, might have to skip this one because of that; never sure how long I can play in one session and I hate starting something just to have to re-do it later.

I honestly think this isnt a reason to skip this title :D A mission takes 10-15 min on average.

As someone who has little to no time and plays this on his lunch break, I can get through about 2 missions I half an hour. The closest ARPG comparison I can think of is Greter Rifts in Diablo 3. Get in, get out, get loot.

Thanks guys, probably going to pick it up once I finish Space Wolf.
