Guardsmen
Just a quick question, how do I get a guardsmen retinue? I noticed them in the shop that was open during the weekend, is that the only way to obtain them?

Are there some mission types that feature them by default, or is there another way to purchase them?

Cheers

That's the only way to acquire them for personal use (and I believe it's a onetime use). There are plenty of missions and even side quests within missions that feature them. The most common mission (and one of the more fun ones, imo) are the siege missions.

There's an in game icon and key legend to help you figure out which missions are which.

Defend, Siege, Rescue, Panic Room and Intel Pursuit mission types feature Guardsmen. Although, you only start with a Guardsmen squad on Defend mission type.

It is also possible, although it has a very low chance per mission, for a random encounter in which you'll meet an Imperial reconnaissance squad.

as far as ik no other way and that should be changed i think it would be cool to make them avilable for credits

or even better they could make them abilitys like summon them or an astartes for a minute but with a cooldown of 5 minutes or so

i dont think they are to op but they are fun wich is by far more important

Astartes are already summonable via the 'world skill' (the 'consumable' skill things that you can pick up) on some Defend missions. I've only seen it on one Defend mission so far though, on a Priority Assignment.

Also, there should be more variation IMO. The summonable Astartes world skill only seems to give plasma gun Stormwatchers. Yet, there are Chainsword and Shield Stormwatchers in game too, but only in the campaign missions relating to Stormwatchers. Also, would be cool if the Guardsmen squads on missions where from different regiments, so wore different colours, with a tiny chance for one Guardsmen per squad to have either plasma gun or grenade launcher or be a sergeant.

Thanks! That clears things out. I agree that they should be available via some other method, they seem so fun to have running around.

They have so much fun running around that they'll blindly run into mines, fire traps, etc.

Like I always say, there's AI in the word 'FAIL' for a reason. :P

i know all of this what i mean is make them avilable as permanent abilitys but with reasonable cooldowns

i mean we are inquisitors its not unlikely to call support i guess xD

Yeah, the 'can only use for five consecutive missions' for the summons thing is bad. It could be implemented in a better way as you say.

Also, we need random encounters with Adepta Sororitas squads too, where we can rescue them like the Guardsmen recon squads. And we should have Adepta Sorirtas summons available, even if they do implement then in the current way as summons. Given that we're Inquisitors, it only makes sense to have the Adepta Sororitas around.
